BS. The entire purpose since ME1 has been to "DESTROY" the Reapers. As far as I'm concerned anybody who played all 3 games then went on to pick anything other than destroy are sell-outs. You let yourself be bought into a god-childs line of thinking. Control and Synthesis have too many variables that can cause them to somehow backfire and a Reaper threat would still exist. Destroy is the only way to once and for all END the Reapers.

I hope the Indoctrination Theory is true. It will make all you Synthesis and Control people feel like fools.

I live for these pics in Cameltoeidis's threads.

As for the OP, I think Control is somewhat valid alternative, but that Synthesis can accomplish the same and more.

Synthesis is abominable.

The vocative form of my name, since you are directly addressing me, is the same as its nominative, Catamantaloedes, not the genitive form Catamantaloedis which I used as my username because that's the form in which it appears in De Bello Gallico, as seen in my sig.

I didnt know that people learned in psychology classes not to answer a question with a question. At least, I never learned that.

When I was a kid, I was playing super nintendo, an Aladdin game that was pretty average. The evil dudes remind me a little of the Reapers.

I got to this sick level with magma everywhere, I was very little, so I was awful at playing videogames and got killed a ton of times.

I tried to control my character, but really I couldn't hold control for long. The controller sucked to start with. So I raged, and threw my controller against the wall. I Destroyed the controller.

Without controller, I couldn't play Aladdin anymore, so I started getting out more often to play football with my friends. I noticed this made me very happy, and also more healthy. I noticed I also stopped feeling the need to play Aladdin at all. With the need to play it removed, I had defeated the game at a greater level than simply taking my character through to the end.

And this is why Destroy is the best Mass Effect ending.

No, you just didn't understand the deepness of the ending.

The controller represents the Reapers. Aladdin represents the cycle.

With sugar spice and everything nice you get indoctrination.

Didn't realize it was that complex. Right.

Analogy doesnt apply because unlike this failure of a poster who cant beat a simple game, Shepard has already won by taking control of the Reapers. There is no threat that can stand in his way, and therefore he has no reason to become frustrated nor doubt his success.

Control is not the only option, destroying the Reapers are too, depending if you kept or destroyed the Collector base. It's obvious why the Reapers and their indoctrinated puppets don't support destruction of the Reapers, but why did the Reaper husks attack Cerberus on Sancturary? Weren't they allies? TIM has probably made a breakthrough in finding out how to control the Reapers, and it likely spooked the Reapers how their own indoctrinated puppet discovered the way to permanently control them, so they attacked Cerberus on Sanctuary to make sure the true secret to controlling them is revealed to anyone.
