Didn't shepard in me2 if you destroy the collectors base says that he won't let fear compromise who
i am and when talking with the ilusive man he says that he'll defeat the reapers without sacrificing the
soul of his species and also control is the ending that gives shepard power to decide the fate of the
galaxy what any renegade player will chose and no it isn't humanities fleet it is shepard's fleet.
And what happened to avenge and bring justice to trillions of people the reapers killed.
In that ending shepard betrays everything he standed for.The reapers are not peace keepers
they are instruments of mass destruction.

It's a poorly drawn Nike Swoosh. He's going to put all the Reapers to work in the Nike sweatshops.

Peace only exists if one has the strength to create it. That's how all the great empires brought peace to their vast territories: by killing everyone who opposes them, and threatening those who don't with their military might.

With the Reapers, humanity can create such an empire.

I have been reading through hundreds of pages from people just making stupid posts about how Control or Synthesis ensure that the Galaxy is safe (at least for a few years), and in all of them I found holes. In those arguments that I didn't find holes, I found it was because the intention of the person who picked control was actually renegade and morally wrong (utilize the Reapers to rebuild stuff and once they're not useful, discard them like tools, or coldly make them fly into a sun to die).

I have lived all these months in the firm belieft that only Destroy ensures the safety of the Galaxy, inconditionally, and without room for interpretation. The Reapers are gone, and that's it, game over for them, forever. The price to pay, horrible, catastrophic. But affordable for the Galaxy and its wellbeing, if looking at the big picture, and considering the length of eternity.

However, this thread completely changed my mind. I don't know if it was the unreadable wall of text, the 10 second mspaint job to add a green V with trembling pulse upon a game image, or how the master himself introduces his text to the readers claiming that whoever thinks otherwise is a fool. Truth is, I'm sold. I am now a Control supporter.

Thank you OP for opening my eyes. You gave a meaning to my life.

Your dim mind causes you to misunderstand. There will be peace because any race which refuses to acknowledge the superiority of humanity will be destroyed by the Reapers. They will fear even the slightest hint of disobedience once they see the might of the Reaper used against the Krogan and Vorcha, and will fear the same for themselves.

No one will be able to act without the nod of humanity, all will be obedient, and there will be peace.

Yes, I see now. I have been wrong all this time, as I said.

I could never believe Control could have such a honorable and high purpose.

So The Illusive Man was really right afterall...

Ah, so our long history of repressing and brutalising each other was, in fact, training for our ultimate destiny as tyrants of the galaxy and not, as some would suppose, a tale of tragedy and woe from which we should take stark warnings of what not to do.

Have you acutally seen the film?

You know that it was funded by PENTHOUSE?

Things happen in that film that I can't even write about.

I appreciate your reasoning but disagree with your reasons. Humanity's mailed fist need not crush those unfortunate enough to oppose us when a swift slap can be most persuasive, and with the formidable yet awkwardly pronounced Reaper Peace Keepers ensuring and enforcing a just galaxy for all there will be no need for petty squabbles. Paragon Shepard's final gift is a new galactic order, all watched over by machines of loving grace.

Oh, now we're talking NGO (in place of the NWO). Ah the Bilderburgs have struck again on a galactic scale. You are going to use them for human dominance and to oppress the masses. How fascist of you. That is if you can control them. You really think you can control them, do you?

You realize by depending upon them you keep humanity's own ingenuity in check, as well as that of the other galactic states, because I'm sure you won't allow them to develop tech to any level that could pose a challenge. But you realize we will anyway.

Other races could develop tech in secret facilities off the grid and build stuff underground or hidden in asteroid belts or in secret facilities between stars.

Because the day will come when you lose your grip on them, the entire galaxy will collapse even faster than you could imagine.

The galaxy is a huge place to patrol. You won't keep us down.

We Will Rise

Oh I know, and I've been forced to watch it by my brother, who considers it art. An interesting fact about this film is that it is one of the most accurate depictions of ancient rome there is. With the perversion, penis road blocks, blatent nudity and sexuality, and cult worship of foreign deities.

And the grotto was real, and was worse IRL than the movie showed.
