Buddy, you wouldn't know a good game if it came up and bit you in the face. The Saboteur is a "good game". Dragon Age's "game" aspect is severely... Limited. Games are intended to engage players into gameplay and Dragon Age isn't exactly "stellar" in that aspect. It's more of a form of art and a statement than a game.
You're a troll.
If DA:O was a bad, you wouldn't be here. If you do indeed think DA:O is a bad game, then you're only here to start a flame war.
Either way, you're a TROLL.

These people do not appreciate the more exotic trends of the intarwebz, my Scandinavian friend, and usually expect "civilized discussion," hogwash that it is. I supplement with copious amounts of ED and tv-tropes to prevent a deficiency, myself.

Indeed.
What are we discussing? The various and sundry means of communication? Methods for adding ad filters directly into the breain? Alistair?
Wait, where'd that last one come from? I need to wake up before weird things just start popping out.

dont get me wrong there is pretend fun doing things chaoticly and then there is just utter dis-respect and making a profit.
How can you also compare this game with dragon age. You want to see the game of the year? The game of the year for me Is Myth 2. The game is freaking 11 years old now and still has a multiplayer community of around 250 players on when the tournements are on. That is older than starcraft and requires so much tacitical skill and intellengence to play, not matter how good you are random stuff like dud bombs when melle rush you can destroy your whole plans.
I hope you rot for even mentioning Grand theft auto *spits on ground*
Oh and here is a youtube link to the game *ctrl copy and paste

*hangs head in shame*
However:
You know i really don't care what any of you think,my point is Dragon Age Origins is over hyped and brings nothing original with it. Let's take the actual story, tell me it's not a blatant rip off from lord of the rings, anyone who thinks not is clearly blind.
Two different games you say,The Saboteur is a RPG but does not have the classic elves dwarfs and magic,it has all the RPG elements thrown in with action. Dragon Age Origins is a good game but it's more like a movie than an RPG,it's a trail track.
Where is the originality? i might as well been playing Mass Effect or any other BioWare game that has come out in since the BG series.
Another point is, IMO The Saboteur deserves a higher rating than Dragon Age Origins,i mean even DrakenSang which is a very similar game to DAO is better in many ways.
So,yeah this is the BioWare forum and the off-topic so me stating the obvious is not going to go down to well,i didn't expect it to.
Dragon Age Origins= 87%
The Saboteur= 97%
Just made me giggle. One, the entire post is pap, but the very first line actually caused a chuckle.
Obviously you DO care or you wouldn't have made the post in the first place, or have come back to see what everyone said in response in the second place.

Do you not realise that any fantasy medieval setting is a LotR rip-off?
Well theres no question about that just look at the Battle of Ostagar scene and thats LoTR in a nutshell, but what I think draws me in is the diversity of characters and the enjoyable dialogue you hear throughout ther game.

I was just illustrating it wasn't in a comparable branch of pretentiousness to the Saboteur.
We're fans of writing and plot, they're fans of open-world elements and being able to do things outside of the main mission of the game (if it's the kind of game as advertised).
Just saying.

You know, I look at the photage of the Battle of Ostagar and try to think Helm's Deep, but while the presentation does indeed seem inspired from Peter Jackson's filming, the battle share very few common denometers. There's no line of fighters slashing in a continuous wave, for instance, and the inspiration behind the battle is fairly different as if the "place" in plot they are at. Also, the outcome was very different. No Gandalf the Grey to save... The Grey wardens. Wow.

Anyway, Dragon Age gives you a feeling of being part of something big, while having beautifully developed characters around you, being exposed to the darkness in human nature (betrayal all over the place for instance) and having several different backgrounds to choose from.
Now what again does GTA or any of it's ripoffs offer that is comparable to the above mentioned?
artistic - well, doesn't seem bad, but nothing spectacular
open ended free roam - check
WWII - check, just like hundreds of other games each year
great story - I guess. Just like lots of other games, such as Dragon Age ;-)
great graphics - you got to be kidding me
killing ****s - wut?
full nudity - check. I wouldn't know where else to find full nudity, if it wasn't for that game.

Perhaps my earlier post was missed, but this particular forum isn't actually for Dragon Age. Whether someone posting here has played (and therefore presumably enjoyed, since otherwise they wouldn't play it, I would guess) Dragon Age or not isn't relevant to this forum.Monstruo696 wrote...

Well, to play Devil's Advocate for a moment, this is the Off Topic forum in the Dragon Age area of the Social Network, so DA discussion is On Topic.

Actually we are the Off Topic of the whole BioBoards. We've just been moved to DragonBook ahead of everyone else. I figure this means the mods either value us an integral part of the community, or just downright hate us. Not sure which.
