I know it's been quite some time since ME3's release, but I'm just curious about who chose what during their first playthrough when they got to the end of Mass Effect 3.

Let me clarify that the first choice is the one you chose knowing ONLY what the Catalyst told you and the previous in game events.  Even if you disliked the choice and went back and changed it, that does not count.  I want people to answer honestly and answer the poll with the choice they made originally.

I personally chose Destroy.  I was numb and almost in a daze, but Control and Synthesis just did not sit right with me at all.  I couldn't completely focus on the why as I just got bombarded with extreme life altering choices in such a short period of time but I do remember thinking I was not going to agree with the Illusive Man after I just killed him and Synthesis seemed like a way for Reapers to enslave us. 

What was your choice during the first playthrough?

Destroy, because the others are silly.

Initially went "Control reapers". However I didn't see the ending so I dashboarded and went "Destroy reapers", saw the ending then reloaded then saw synthesis, reloaded, then fully saw control reapers. Control reapers didn't seem like a first time for my character. My character seemed to be the type to destroy the reapers. However my characters personality would of went with a choice 4: To be part reaper, part synthetic, part human and survive.

I chose control the first time.
Then I saw everyone cheering, and I realized that the Reapers were still alive, and I felt like a traitor.

Have chosen destroy ever since.

Control. I couldn't see that I was indoctrinated at the time.

Control. The starchild convinced me with the argument that the Geth would be destroyed. Still choosing control because it is shown that the Citadel survives, and because the galactic civilization needs the Reapers to repair the relays.

EDIT: Wanted to pick destroy but because i had no indication which platform was which, i almost ended up picking synthesis

Synthesys.... by accident, I didn't understood well how to make the final choice, didn't see the two catwalks at the sides..... so I just walked towards the light..... when the screen started filling with green color I just thought "Hey, when did I decided this?"

My first choice dosent count, I bumbled into synthisis when i went over to look at the light beam,

I picked destroy. The other options just didn't make any sense to me, and I didn't really trust the Catalyst.

So, I walked towards the tube while shooting it, wondering why I couldn't just press a button or something for destroy. Watched the ending, thought I did something wrong. So I went on youtube and then the forums trying to figure out what I did wrong. =|

This. I was just confused by all this bullcrap and didn't figure out how do I actually make that 'choice'. So I just walked straight into the light, like a moth lured by a lantern trap, wanting the nightmare to end, and embraced the horror and camp.

Destroy, but by then I'd known all about it anyway having heard enough rumours about the endings to have ended up reading spoilers. As for "first playthrough" it's my only one. What's the point of having another when everyone and everything I care about in the game gets screwed?

Um. I attempted to leave. When I couldn't, I tried to kill the Star Kid. When that failed, I accidentally fell into the giant beam of light, because I didn't understand that that was how you 'chose.'
