Destroy of course. I'm not compromising with that star child in a million years by choosing control or handing the Reapers their easy victory by choosing synthesis.

I wasn't even sure what I had chosen at first. In blind confusion, I stumbled towards the tube and shot it.

It was only when I came here that I realised I had chosen the "destroy" ending.

Destroy. I had no idea what synthesis was and control felt like betrayal.

At first I chose systhesis because I fell for the star child's speech and I didn't want to destroy the geth but when I saw the ending with Joker's shimmering eyes like TIM's and his translucent skin with cybernetics, and the fact he still had a limp, I said WTF and I chose destroy.

My first Shepard choice (or one of star-kid choices) was destroy, because I like colour red.

My first choice was to shut down the computer and go for a long walk ^^

Destroy, didn't understand Synthesis and I wasn't about to do the exact same thing Shepard had been arguing against TIM with for the entire game. That and the lack of the "Investigate" option made me decide to go with the simplest path. Blowing everything into oblivion, along with the rest of the franchise.

Destroy, was the most definitive way to accomplish the goal. I felt as long as the reapers were alive they'd always be a threat.

Control sounded like you would become the catalyst because it was said you'd be dead but in control. No way I was becoming what I was there to stop.

Synthesis I just didn't like the idea of it to put it mildly. I just told the Catalyst that we'd rather keep our own forms. So I didn't want to turn around and force everyone into one DNA. I really didn't like it.

In another thread I posted that I am not able to make a choice, because none of them applied. So, instead I tried them all to see how the differences played out. After that I couldn't make up my mind either. None of them made sense. In later playthroughs, I just select destruction, even though that means that the geth (who I united with the quarians) will be destroyed and that "we" are set back to the stone age.

I sat there for five minutes, I started to walk towards the green because that is my favourite colour, but then I panicked and started to head towards blue thinking maybe that was the better option. I got cold feed and turned to red telling myself that was the true ending, it was my original plan before that catalyst got into my head. I was halfway towards the red before I had a change of heart yet again and walked back towards the center before finally taking a deep breath and said out loud "Come on you ****". I walked up to the red side and shot once, nothing happened, I froze. Had I made a mistake? Was the game giving me one last chance to change the error of my ways or was the game testing my conviction? I fired again and again and again until the cutscene took over. I was blown away (no pun intended) by what followed.

Red is the only real ending in my mind.

It was such an emotional moment - I choose to destroy them,
primarily out of desire to stick with original plan and not to be swayed by suddenly presented alternatives. Yet after day of digesting finale I realized I was wrong to kill all those civilizations, whatever form they might have now . And I couldn't go for the Synthesis either, because I'm not entitled to forcibly change every being the galaxy and deny them their differences.

So I replayed and choose Control as best solution. Hopefully Milky Way will do fine with legacy I left them. And if such a grim day will come and Cycles would need to be started again - We'll be there..

Synthesis. It looked as ridiculous as it sounded, but I didn't like the idea of control and I couldn't bring myself to wipe out the geth and EDI. Plus, it seemed like what my pure paragon Shepard would do.

Synthesis. I didn´t like control and I didn´t want Geth to die. It was the only time I choose something different then destroy.

Destroy. It had been the goal since game 1, and if that meant going renegade, then so be it.

Put me in the confused camp, I stumbled forward trying to figure out what was going on until I took a running leap into the light. Exited to the dashboard, restarted, and picked destroy, just gonna have to live with the guilt of having committed genocide.
