probally Its the thing that bioware says that seperates them from the rest of rpgs.

by the way we were not wrong it does suck, you were lucky not to be a victim of the hype. and if you think about it, orign fans played a game that had a clear plot and a lot of diffrent scenery for 2 years then they recived a game that was a downgrade in all areas,

o by the way, the point you made that they didnt import their saves. nearly everyone did but it didn't matter. please replay origns and awkening and kill leliana and anders and see if it makes any diffrence

Importing saves across multiple games does seperate bioware from the rest, very few (if any) companys do that.If two tiny things made your whole playthrough void...

Bioware writting 2 characters back to life would make peoples decisions seem void

Both deaths were due to random disagreements that only served to bolster the ego.Their retcons aren't worth wasting energy over.

But now the death of companions has less of an impact cause they can just be brought back later.

I just started going back to replaying DAO and the character models in DA2 are much better.  You can actually see bigger differences in elves vs humans other than just pointy ears.

And that's a good thing?

The elf models are awful. They were terribly, terribly designed, obviously going for an Avatar-inspired look that failed miserably.

The only elf that looks any good is Merrill, and that's only because actuall effort was put in for her as a love interest.

I would take short humans with pointy ears over ugly mutant alien-cat things any day.

'Bigger differences' is not a justification. If the elves were given 5 arms and 2 heads and a tail, would you still prefer them because, hey, they're more distinguishable from humans and that's what matters, right?

2. ) It doesn't recognize the new Orlesian Warden Commander - import without DAO would cause the game to use default history.

Really? Well, that could explain why a random character talking about my female Warden Commander referred to her as a "he". Most of the other stuff matched up though.

The only reason they were retconed and most of the epilogues rendered inutile is because origins wasn't planned to have a sequel in the beginning.Bioware decided to make dragon age into a series after the good reception and praise from origins.I doubt we'll see any more people brought back from death.

I'm curious to see what they do with the save transfer if the next gen consoles have released.

why would they need to do anything? Every new console has always been able to play its predecessor's games.

You couldn't transfer your Xbox saves to your 360 as far as I remember. And as far as I know PS1 couldn't go to PS2, and PS2 couldn't go into PS3.

The importing save thing is what seperates Bioware games from other RPGs as it lets you change the periferals.

I don’t see why we need to import anything from DA2, as far as i am concerned there is no decision from DA2 that will matter in DA3.

yep, its the same ending no matter what you do

God that annoyed me... I sided with the Templars, was hard-line in support of them right up until the end...

...and I'm a hero to the MAGES? The hell? I'm a man who could probably issue orders to the Templars and they'd obey me over the Divine herself and the MAGES think I'm a hero?

Seriously, I don't know what they smoke in the circle towers, but I want some of it...

Play the games is one thing, but import saves?  What if the save data is on the older console?  You'd need to replay the previous games just to have the save data on the new console's hdd.  It will be interesting...
