I unlocked the Phoenix Adept from the new Rebellion DLC and find it allot of fun, but not I'm not very good at it. I've always been an Infiltrator or an Enginner, those classes are when I really shine. I've never used an Adept/Vanguard before, and never was the biggest fan of biotics, but I'm starting to really love this class, but as I said, I'm not doing very well.

Can someone here help me make a good build? I use the Katana X and the Shuriken IX, with my powers being:

Singularity: 3
Smash: 5 (Electrical Damage; Force & Damage)
Lash: 6 (Damage; Damage Over Time; Shield Penetration)
Phoenix Training: 5 (Damage & Capacity; Power Damage)
Fitness: 5 (Durability; Shield Recharge)

At level 18, and if I remember correctly you gain 6 points per level up, so I will make Smash and Phoenix training at level 6 (Smash- Impact Radius; Phoenix Training- Pistols & Shotguns).

So can you guys give me advice or just give me a new build altogether? I do have 2 more power resets if I remember correctly, and don't mind using it on this class as I plan on using it allot. Any help is appreciated, thank you.  Also, I am playing on the Xbox if that helps at all (probably not <_<).

Well your build seems to be good but I think it should be all about biotics so electrical damage doesn't really do you much unless you're rolling with salarians/engineers and stuff.

I really don't have much exp with this adept but I'll try to help as much as i can.

Smash: Biotic combo (4), force and radius (5), not sure on the 6th but I know the range is so bad on this thing so you might wanna get the range one.
Lash: Detonate (4), recharge (5), shield penetration (6)
Phoenix training: Damage and capacity (4), power damage (5), for the 6th you might wanna skip it and put 3 points in singualirty but if you don't want singularity you can get the shotgun and pistol weight
Fitness: All health.

I highly reccomend the reegar shotgun or the geth plasma shotgun with this, maybe the paladin.

I really think this character sucks a lot because if you wanna get close and use smash then you will die so fast and so much. Best of luck!

I hear Magic Thoughts and disagree i usually finished 3 or last with my other builds and i am not a ****ty player, but with my adapt build of this class i usually finish first or second. It's in the mind set. You play differently with this class than yo u do with Asari adept or a Krogan vanguard. And that's where people get confused.

My build is 66660 nothing in fitness why ? because it's bugged so don't waste your points.
You need to be over 150% in weight bonus so all your power recharge between 1 sec to 3.5 sec

Throw singularity at enemies that you think might not take damage, it slows them down and at the same time they take more damage when under the affect of Simgularity. Use your assult riffle to strip shields/barrier they get picked up by Singularity which does 50 points per sec to lifted enemies then lash (similar to pull) to Biotic explode.

Next big hit is the surprise attack. Many people use the basic melee, wait.. Let an enemy or Brute get close use lash to stagger him/her then use L2 smash to deal out 1700N of damage. Most go down in 1 hit on silver, and on gold in 1.5 hits (with some gun fire to soften them up).

Where people go wrong is in trying to do Smash without stagger, you can get charged and it will cancel the smash leaving you staggered. So think is the enemy paused long enough to do this.
Most of the time i hit banshee's and they GO DOWN.. (granted they were not max health/barriers)

@1700 N per hit it's right up there with GOD DAMN that's gotta hurt!!

After the Vorcha sentinel class this is my next favorite.
