I like your character ideas, but Prothean Vanguard with DC and Charge would be overpowered. Change DC to Lift Grenades?

Dark Channel is like Reave, but with no damage resistance. If you kill an enemy who is effected by it, it will pass on to another enemy. If you detonate it, and kill the enemy, it still passes to another enemy. Combine that with charge, and Prothean Vanguard would be overpowered.

So.. What do you advise? Seeing as you know how DC works with the other abilities, and i dont(due to not having the DLC) :)

Definately think this is the best way to improve on the MP. The same enemies over and over is getting a little tedious, even if they didn't release new characters, i'd be more then happy to fight collectors and the mercs again.

I would recommend Charge, Slam, and Lift Grenade for the Vanguard.
The Adept is fine how it is.

I say 'yes' to everything but the Raloi. And I think a Geth Soldier would be better and I would prefer a Drell Infiltrator over a Turian Infiltrator.

I'm in for a non-cloak infiltrator, but it better have abilities that allow him to infiltrate and not die.
It helps in a few departments - no cloak bug frustration, an infiltrator that doesn't sit in a corner and snipe, an actually fun class.

I'd go for abilities like:
+stagger/control
+Temp run speed and DR
+Some cool "see through wall ability", perhaps a mine, that can be evolved into something that deal damage or decreases resistance to damage with more information, like who the enemy is targeting, heading direction, mass health bars, and perhaps it could have a chance to aggro.

And we blew up the Collector homeworld. Technically there should be next to none left. But sadly BioWare already retconned that, so what the hell.


I doubt she controls them all, as ME2 showed us that the various Merc groups are not really united under one banner, but even have factions within.

Prothean Vanguard is too superior to adept, I propose this alternative.

Adept: Dark Channel, Slam, Throw

Vanguard: Dark Channel, Biotic Charge, Lift Grenade




Mercenary overall "Boss" should be the YMIR Heavy Mech. Split factions like this:


Early waves 1-3 begin with typical cannon Fodder, Blue Suns and Eclipse Mercs.

Wave 4 introduces Blood Pack mercs exclusively.

Wave 5 Blue Suns and Eclipse return exclusively. This time they Bring some Loki Mechs with them. YMIR Heavies should also begin to appear.

Wave 6: Blood Pack returns exclusively with help from mechs and now Varren.

Wave 7: Eclipse and Blue Suns return exclusively with Mechs and now Blue Suns and Eclipse bring in their high-level Commanders to lead battle.

Wave 8: Blood Pack return exclusively led by one or more Krogan Warlord(s).

Wave 9: All three Factions are now working in unison led by one or more of their respectable Commanders at once depending on difficulty.

Wave 10: Same as wave 9 except Mechs return.

Wave 11: Same as wave 10.

The issue with giving a Vanguard DC is that he can then detonate on any enemy.

Currently the only Vanguard that can do this is Ex-Cerberus with a Smash upgrade, and that is balanced by making him stand mere metres away from the enemy to set it up.

Yes, but Biotic Assassins. We've never seen a Drell Infiltrator, but we have seen a Turian Infiltrator

I think that was a mistake that Bioware made, as it goes against the description of Soldiers that has been given across all 3 games.
