People are talking about Denerim! Time for me to chime in.

From multiple things I see in game, Denerim appears to, at earlier development stages, have been closed off until Landsmeet. The most important of these is the Landsmeet introduction. It's basically a Denerim intro video. Why is this necessary when we've been visiting Denerim since right after Ostagar? That's in addition to how Denerim is supposedly the seat of the enemy.

So why would it be opened up earlier in the game? Because it's a major sidequest hub. And many of those sidequests, those requiring visiting Redcliffe, can't be completed if a player completes Landsmeet all the way, which they'll likely have a tendency to do since they're there.

All speculation, of course. There's also some voiceovers that are obviously intended to be prior to Landsmeet. So, if they intended Denerim to be closed until Landsmeet, it would have to have been before they finished recording voiceover when they made the change.

Actually many of the people in Denerim do not care. Their minds are on the Blight. If you go around town you can here the gossip. They talk of the fall of Denerim to the darkspawn. Also the first time in Denerim, if you go by the Dwarven merchant in the market you will be challenge to a duel by one of the knights who was at Ostagar.

Other do not believe the lies especially Sergeant Kaylon for whom you can do several quests. Since he guards the Market District you can walk around freely. But if you go to Denerim's back alleys you will be accosted by a group who says our mark has come to us. You are also attacked by the Antivan Crows in the back alleys.

Eh, I think the armies are yours in the sense that they will follow your leadership in the fight against the darkspawn, but have no willingness to fight in Ferelden's civil war.

This is not only Ferelden's civil war, but also an obstacle in the way of the fight against the blight. My army must unite with the Fereleden's so that we might have a meager chance against the blight army. I mean, even the united army has not enough chance without killing the archdeamon. So allied army must also support me against Loghain in the Civil war. In short with enough cunning, I would be able to be the King if I wanted, in a more realistic scenario. This option is completely logical and yet it is not available. Why limit the choices? Richer game is better, no?

Well, except at least a quarter of your army is Redcliffe soldiers who do what Eamon says. And Eamon clearly doesn't say "Let's fight Loghain". In fact, he says "If we can't topple Loghain in the Landsmeet, we'll have to side with him to save Ferelden". Another chunk of your army is the Mages of the Circle. They answer to the Chantry and the Throne. The treaties only oblige them to answer to the Wardens for matters of Blights.

So you basically have... a weakened tribe of Dalish elves and whatever dwarves the King of Orzammar sends you. And that force is going to conquer Ferelden? Even if you are as good a military commander as Loghain...of which there is no evidence....that's pretty implausible.

There is a short and a long answer. The short answer is that a civil war with Loghain would be a LOT of extra content, that would only be used for that particular scenario, so not going to happen.

The long answer is that, as the previous post explained, you have no army. All you have is a bunch of treaties that specifically allows you to call upon other armies to aid the Grey Wardens in fighting the Blight, nothing else. Remember that it's not really your army at all. It's not you who gives the pep talk before the battle of Denerim, it's King Alistair/Queen Anora who does. You are at best a general and at worst just a figurehead champion of this army.

Not to mention the fact that your army might well be fatally weakened if you first deplete it by campaigning against Loghain.

I agree with the short answer however I did not want implementation of a civil war in the game. I just wanted another option in the Landsmeet dialog enabling you to say, I will rule the Ferelden. You should be able to say that because, you have a strong case and evidences against loghain, plus you are a member of a very strong noble family and you should have some military support among the humans besides dwarves, elves, and the circle. Alistair does not want to rule. Queen is not of noble blood. And I have the both desire to rule and noble blood. At least with enough cunning, I can kill Loghain in duel, have the Queen hanged by Alistair, after which I can make him a dragon-fodder :) Then having enough military force behind me, what is left to prevent me from ruling the Ferelden? So your long answer has also been defeated I think?
