There are easy matches sometimes. I have nothing else to do except trying to outscore the others. Even if I die, others can easely 'trio' the entire wave without problems
The problem is stupid players

In 6 hrs of Gold matches last night, I didn't look at the score once during. With the much shortened time between waves, scores were the last thing on my mind. Hell I wasn't even paying attention to the wave count until we'd got to 10 and make sure we got thru it to get the bonus. Stay faaaaaar away from Gold Geth on Condor....nightmare inducing!

I think encouraging people to compete in a cooperative game is weird and unnatural.
not sure if sarcasm.competetion is human nature.no to communism.i need the score to estimate new builds, and ofc sort out underachievers.

NO. It's fine the way it is. I want the game to track MORE stats, not less.
Are there any stats you could recommend be tracked that might deter people from engadging in more riskful behavior for sake of their score? Something that might balance this trend, which seems to be fueled by score?

You have no idea what it's fueled by. You're making a giant assumption of the motives of a vast variety of people. Odds are they're just doing their best and aren't that great.

No, even though I'm a teamplayer I still like to push myself to beat my own scores.
This. Besides scores are a good way to see whether one's build works or not.

Also, snipers & head shots usually ALWAYS get top scores. Doesn't matter how well you play, head shots do the most damage so they automatically get the top spot. You can't beat head shots. A player with a Widow or Mantis will usually always get the highest scores. Total BS! I run around in harms way taking on the enemy up close & the jackass sniper that just sits in the corner tops the board every time.

bad idea. A good player on Gold is going to have more deaths per match than an average player on silver and many more than even a bad player on bronzeJernau11 wrote...
One possible solution might be tracking the number of deaths a player has over their games and displaying it. An average death per matches score.

still, if i have a really hard time completing, and then i see that one or more of the teammates has negligible contribution, i'm glad for the scores. of course, unless you really pay attention to names, this could be people leaving and then joining in progress...

No. Score may not be that great for figuring out who's contributing the most, but it's useful for figuring out leachers and terribads. Also for figuring out when my own build is lacking.
i think that would be easy to figure out from how often they die.
allowing only each player to see their own score would be intresting tho.
