This will possibly be one of the last updates here, as not many are downloading any of the files anymore and interest seems to be somewhat lacking of late.  I don't want to keep bumping my own post to the top with updates if no one is interested anymore.

Bio - I know people say this all the time, but... - can you please sticky this? B33ker's done an exceptional job. It's not some lousy rip. All of these ringtones sound terrific. And he's put a lot of work into this project. It would be a shame for this thread to get buried and forgotten.

Thanks, but really, the only time I'm taking is to sort out the thousands of audio clips in the game files and put some together for the banter bits, adding pauses where need be and trying to make it sound natural.  BioWare did all the work, I'm just sort of using their data to play with.

I'm thankful (and somewhat surprised) that they haven't complained or closed the thread yet. 

I've got about 2000 clips I could go through for more banter bits, which will take some time to do, and some of them are hard because they have variations based on who is in the party at the time.  The single short bits are easier once I can find them, but there are tons of useless ones as well that aren't entertaining.

I keep track of the downloads and lately there hasn't been much activity, so wasn't sure if anyone cared anymore.  Maybe I'll give it until Monday to see how it goes.

Thank you for the kind words Darpaek, it's appreciated.  Wish my skills were good enough to land a job with BioWare working on audio, that would just be a dream job for me.

Virtually all of these audio bits are accessible on YouTube right now to people.

I live in the current decade thank you very much for the attitude.

These are not in the standard audio format/bitrate the game uses and thus I didn't see that they belonged in the "Projects" section where people may run into problems trying to incorporate them into mods for the game.

BioWare hasn't had a problem, and if they did all they'd have to do is ask me to take em down and I would.

Seeing as how this thread has been on the front page of the forums for days and most companies are pretty vigilant as to the goings on of websites like Rapidshare or Torrent sites, I'm sure this project was highlighted at some meeting and some suit said it was cool until the day where they start selling their own ringtones. All it takes is an email to Rapidshare and they'll ban the user and take down their links no questions asked.

The rude dude's right though - you should transfer all of this to a Projects page so your work doesn't go down the tubes in the annals of forum history.

Will see what I can do.  Been out all day today and only just got in about 20 minutes ago.

Thanks for the vote of support everyone, it's appreciated.  If BioWare has an issue all they have to do is say so and I'll remove the links, but don't worry, I've got everything backed up twice here at home so nothing will ever get lost.

I don't love using Rapidshare myself, but I can't host it locally, so I went with what I could get set up quick and easy.

If possible, you should attempt to get an entire conversation >.> Such as, those conversations when Alistair is going on about you being the light amidst all the darkness yada yada... or Morrigan talking to your dog... Just for kicks. XD

Afterthought: 
If the files get lost or taken down, I have a strong filehost account that is more often than not neglected, with tons of bandwidth usage that never gets used, so if all else fails, I'll upload them all and create an index. =) No problems. This is too spiffy to let go.

There are a couple of party banter clips linked already (Shale and Leliana talking about birds, Zevran and Shale talking about sex, and Ohgren and Alistair talking about polishing his weapon), and I can do more but the conversations take longer as they are made up of thousands of seperate files that need to be assembled and pauses put in between each line.



If there's a specific one I can try to find it, but to do them all would take weeks.

Why would Bioware mind their fans' playing around with a few sounds? It's not like it's the game itself he has uploaded. These sounds have no value at all except to us fans, and I doubt Bioware were planning on releasing a set of ringtones for us.

I think if he was selling them he might get a slap on the wrist, otherwise it's pretty much harmless and uplifting fan appreciation, like making montage wallpapers of DAO characters or pausing real life meetings while you decide which chair everyone will be sat in.



In fact it's free advertising. Every time someone asks why your phone says "Enchantment?" when a text arrives, there's a word-of-mouth marketing opportunity for DAO right there. It's like football players wearing T-shirts with "Enchantment" on them. Which might be next.

Nope, not making a penny or a copper on this. Wish I could while I'm out of work so I didn't have to sweat it out every time the rent comes due.....like this week, but it's not my property to sell, it's BioWare's 100%.

Would sorta suck to get evicted for Christmas.

Glad people are enjoying these. As long as I see replies here I'll keep adding as I get good ones.

Also if there's one that you want, let me know and I can dig for it.  Although I've done some requests already and they've never been downloaded.......
