Well, if IT is true, it sucks for my friends who don't have xbox live as they won't be able to download the real ending to the game. Unless the EC is on a disc, which seems unlikely as I imagine the shipment of the discs would cost money that EA/Bioware is unwilling to lose.

I guess we'll see.

I'm not entirely sure how this works but couldn't you just let your friends use your internet to download it?

No. We tried this with ME2 dlcs and they could download them, but were unable to play them offline.

Well, that sucks, then I would say they could do 1 of 2 things:

1.  Request a DLC disc from Bioware

2. Bite the bullet and pay for a month of internet service to download the DLC.  Though, if they are lucky, they may find some internet trial services where they can try out the internet for free and just download it then.  Then, if they didn't want the internet service, they could just cancel it.

If the EC really does that much of an overhaul on the story I'm sure Bioware would find a way to get it to the offline players.

I would hope so, but I'm not optimistic. It seems like it would be too big of a hassle for them to bother. I would hope to be proven wrong though.

It's not that they don't have internet, it's just dial up internet (yes they live in a small town in the middle of nowhere lol). Also they lack the required equipment to connect their xbox to the internet. The older 360's require either a wireless adaptor, or an ethernet cable to connect online. Since they aren't hardcore gamers, but hardcore ME fans, they haven't felt the need to purchase that equipment.

While certainly possible to download the DLC, it would be a ridiculous hassle. If IT is true, I would most likely just let them play on my xbox. Still would suck, not having the ending to the game.

Thank you, Liggy.
You've given me a more nuanced perspective to consider. I'm afraid I don't have a response at this time. Perhaps I will tomorrow.

My reaction:

*raise eyebrows*
*fold arms*
"Alright, Bioware. Let's see where you're taking this. It's gonna be a wild ride."
*wait*

My first reaction would be to laugh at the current pro enders

This

This This +_+

Just to remind all you I.T.ers that the majority of people arguing against the "intendedness" of I.T. aren't pro-ending they generally lothe the current end as much, if not more, than you do. They just don't think I.T. was intended and/or think that the addition of I.T. as an actual ending would be even worse or just as bad.

There are a _lot_ of don't-like-the-end-also-don't-like-I.T. people here.

it would be funny if the IT was true and when shepard gets up from harbinger's beam the ending is the same, again.

"IT is true! why aren't you satisfied?"
