I like human infiltrator. Cloak bonus, plus you can spec cryo for a great debuff vs armor, for the bigguns
recently the vorcha sentinel was unlocked for me. I slapped on the lvl 3 recharge item and equipped the claymore. I ignored the flamethrower (since I have the vorcha soldier) I instead used the cluser grenades.
with the high CD and Claymore with the cluser grenades. you're unstoppable.

Razerath, don't pick the duration if you want to use AR as a reloader. It will mess with continuous fire with some weapons. Doesn't affect Claymore use though.
My gut is telling me to use AR as a reloader to get those two shots in a row faster. I'm bad at math, which would have a higher damage per 10 seconds or so?

Razerath, some weapons could be used to fire continuously without EVER reloading. AR duration make it last longer but also lengthens the intervals between AR applications. That's what i tried to tell.
:-) Slow somedays. Thanks!

GI with proxy and hunter mode can one-shot ravagers after patch.
I also like it on HI against Reapers as Stickies seem to explode every time without glitching now, even with only 2m Radius.

Krogan sentinel specced for:
6/0/6/6/6
Claymore X with smart choke and melee bayonet
Any other weapon as secondary(or primary) since there are no cooldowns to speak of

Yeah, this is an amazing build, especially with the new grenade capacity gear. It feels awesome to rock a Claymore AND a Javelin and never have to worry about cooldowns. I use damage and shredder though.codename2o2 wrote...
Probably said already, but it's my favorite with a claymore:

GI with Claymore X, barrel/shredder and incendiary ammo is my favorite nowadays. Proxy mine debuff and Claymore at point blank will easily one- shot Ravagers on Gold. Sometimes Brutes too, but I'm not sure about it now that there is no HS bonus.

Problem with the Batarian is the lack of incentive for weapon damage. Infiltrators and HS get that.
But Batarian is great if you want mix things up with melee and some CC. Melee batarian is crazy strong with Graal, I don't see why should be less effective with claymore.
GI with proxy and hunter mode can one-shot ravagers after patch. Two shots for brutes. Its crazy high damaging. Lacks CC though. Easier to die for bunch of husks and troopers, so requires "calibrations".
Reload cancel is a must have for any Claymore users.
You should try out GodlessPaladin's GI claymore/melee hybrid infiltrator melee build. Addresses some of the getting swarmed problems with a beefed up heavy melee.

Also a Vorcha Sentinel with or without Flamer (since you can cut it short and more often than not will, its cooldown is nothing even with a Claymore).
Drell Vanguard too, apparently.

They removed the weak spot in the big blue thing. Its was a head somehow.

Any infiltrator is good. Human soldier with maxed cryo blast and armor piercing sticky grenades iis good against reapers.Geth with hunter mode specced for accuracy is amazing with it in general, hunter mode makes killing phantoms very easy too, which is really the only thing claymore kind of sucks at on other classes. Male quarian works too, his grenades are exellent and can be specced for AP vs reapers or shield overload if you mostly fight geth/cerberus. Salarian is also really good, very survivable with energy drain and can also debuff with proxy mine.
Vorcha with claymore is pretty damn good. claymore also works well on the krogan soldier and sentinel specced for grenade spam.
Drell vanguard with a claymore is a good setup, take rank 6 weapon damage in drell assasin and take weapon synergy for charge and it's actually pretty strong.
Top 3 for me though:
1.Geth infiltrator
2.Quarian male infiltrator if you have grenade capacity upgrades
3.Salarian infiltrator. More survivable than the above 2 but less offensive capabilities.
Human soldier best non infiltrator.

Just to get an idea what are the top 3 post patch Claymore builds? I'm looking to expand on my favorite shotgun. Not looking for many details, just opinions.
Human Infiltrator-I would spec for all damage, use cryo and one power without breaking cloak. (Was my main)
Fit some points into stickies in there if you want. Use incendiary ammunition for tech explosions with cryo.
Quarian Male Infiltrator- spec Cloak and Tactical Scan and passive for all weapon damage. Scan a target cloak then shoot. Tac scan is great for Phantoms, Brutes, Pyros, Hunters...et al. (My new main) Racked up so much kills that my team on silver/ghost only got to shoot the stragglers that I did not see right away.
If you have not already learn the Claymore reload glitch...or as I like to call it the "active reload". You will dominate fast.
Happy hunting

Good question. Also what mods should you stick on it? Shredder and Smart Choke?
I always go with choke and barrel. If I want AP on it I'll slap the ammo on.

Kills lesser enemies fast, which is essential for keeping your gremlin behind alive. No need to worry about recharge time either, so grab a Widow or Sabre as well if you want.

Also, as said above, active reload is key... Click the cloak button as soon as you hear the reload click, even if it's not recharged... Cuts reload time in half.
