ok I know some people don't like the idea of indoc theory, and for differant reasons (mostly illogical ones), but there is one that i hear a lot that makes sence but i still have to ask Why

Here it is, tell me if you have herd it
"IT means i bought an unfinished game"

Now i understand their resoning for saying this but look at it this way

Everyone knows the game was rushed out the door, so EA and friends could get their $$$$$$

So one, you already have an unfinshed product that Sucks beyond Sucking, and many other descriptions,

now IT still has this "unfinshed game that was already unfinshed" but it will help it NOT suck

so for the IT theory Haters out there you have 2 chioces

1) unfinshed game that sucks
or
2) unfinshed game that dose not suck

the chioce is your's

What I don't get about IT supporters (maybe not all, but a whole lot of them) is how they think their THEORY = THE ONE AND ONLY TRUTH. You remind me of religious zealots.

I have supported IT, my biggest concern though is that IF it were to come true, it means Shepard is still on the ground after being partially zapped by the Harbinger laser, and is still in a condition not fit for fighting.

Unless I didn't read it properly..

What would happen then? I'm not trying to **** on IT, I just want to hear some opinions/explanations.

I'd rather have a crappy ending than no ending.

At least with the EC they can spend all their time working on what they already have, rather than having to make up something new which could end up being just as crap.

I don't believe that a fanfiction created by sad fans that hated the end is needed to salvage the game endings. I don't believe that said fanfiction was intended. I don't believe in any explanations that IT provides, since can be explained by other means. I don't stand for the cult status that said fanfiction achievied in only three months. How everything can be explained with IT amuses me a lot, though.

That said, I think that the clarification that Bioware said they will provide with EC will be enough to explain what isn't explained in the actual endings, and that if well made (and the time that they are taking to do it makes me believe that will be well made) will make the ends OK.

We have yet to see a better more logical solution to the illogical mess that is the ending
pertty much every angle has been worked over time and time again and IT theory has been the most logical to work with the lore of the universe

If you have a solution that trumps IT theory i would love to hear it

I don't like IT because it still boils down to "wow what a crazy dream," and that's some soap opera BS.

Actually, at first all we had was a great game with an ending that was horrendous.

It was sold as complete by the creators.

It is being fixed for free by them.

The most logical way to understand the ending is face it at face value, not create a dream theory and believe on it because you can't deal with the reality.

Bolded for the Truth.

There doesn't have to be another explanation, or hidden meaning; we got a ****ty ending. At least it's an actual ending, though, and not potentially the world's oddest and most unnessary cliffhanger in the history of anything.

i like the IT, but it does mean they shipped a game without an ending, which is something i hate.

my problem with the IT haters is the only counter argument is bioware isn't clever enough to do it, even those stuff like the IT is very common in sci fi, bioware are how to dumb and too lazy to write such a thing.

There is no such thing as IT haters.
IT is a great fanfiction but in the end it's just a fanfiction. That's it.

So?

One might easily call it military science fiction or speculative science fiction if you're into that sort thing.

Bad writing and time restraints.

Unfortunately it shows up throughout the entire game that they probably didn't get as long as they needed.

It's just bad in it's original form.

That's it.

There is no conspiracy.

At all.

Then at what point does Shepard's evil half-brother show up, scheming to steal Shepard's inheritance?

Face Value?

from a series that has a history of explaining things in such find detial down to the science behind the Sci-Fi stuff, at the Greatest infacsis on NPC's is the history of gaming, to probably the greatest video story of all time.

the ending throws all of that into i black hole, and replaces it with
NO logic
No details
No coherance
NO explaintion
and did i mention
NO LOGIC

It's just bad. It happens. All. The. Time.

The only thing that has kept the IT alive is an extreme case of cult like behavior and confirmation bias.

Because we hate the ending so much. (for varied reasons) And the fact that it's very plausible and even compelling gives us hope. Bioware would have broken the forth wall and indoctrinated us all. How awesome is that right! As long as its free I'm cool with it.

I believe in IT for the above reasons and the fact that I can't continue to play the games knowing I have that "literal" ending to look forward to.

Great. I hate boss fights almost as much as dream sequences.

IT means that I just paid 100 bucks to have a company punk me of an ending they sold the game based upon. It wouldn't be quite as obnoxious if the rest of the game was up to par, which it isn't.
