I imported my perfect Soldier career from ME1 and 2.  When I finished ME3, thought I had done something wrong, missed something along the way.  I had stayed away from the forums for a couple of weeks prior to release and after so I didn't know about the ending debacle.  So I fired up my Vanguard career and tried again cuz I hadn't reached Level 60 in ME1 for that one...finished it and got through all the loyalty missions in ME2 except recruiting Legion.  Then I came back into the forums.  I saw the rage and realised it wasn't my fault.  I stopped and haven't played any ME at all since.

I still come here hoping for some revelation or announcement but , alas, we can only hope there might be some DLC in the future or something to make it worthwhile again.

If not I may just finish my Vanguard career with everyone dying on the ME2 suicide mission and then uninstall and say goodbye to the whole thing...sadly..it's a shame it may end like that.

Played it to Anderson's death four times. beat it only once

If I was going to play almost to the end and then quit, I'd stop halfway through Earth myself.

Got as far as the crew goodbyes, and shut it off.  So technically, never finished it.  Played through the entire game up till that point.  Then went back and imported a Shepard I would be happy to kill off; in my head, I could then watch the ending with such a loathsome PC.  Only got to coup with him, and haven't picked it back up.  I got bored with it, and it's not a boring game.

The thing is, I wanted to like this game.  I wanted to play it through a number of times, to get lost in the world created.  That I loved the first game so much surprised me, and in a few ways ME3 is better than the first.  Yet the whole game of ME3 is all over the place, quality-wise.  Excellent writing next to terrible writing , fun gameplay vs. questionable mechanics (quest tracking, for instance).  There is so much right with this game, yet it is swallowed up.

So yes OP, I only played SP ME3 once.  I want to play it again, but can't muster the desire.  Maybe the EC will spark interest again.

-not disgruntled, just disheartened

I've done Insanity playthroughs with all classes... Longest playthrough was 60h, shortest 30h.

It is without doubt the game with least replayablity in the series. It also managed to hurt the replayability of the other 2 games.
Can't recall any game that ever achieved that.

To be honest, I want to play it again, but I don't want to play it until the extended cut comes out.

I didn't even finish the game because I am just waiting.

Did one complete run with my (former) canon Shepard, another incomplete run with her to achievement grind and another incomplete one with my Sheploo.

the single player is a betrayal because of all the mediocrity in it, the game had some good moments but they were few and far in between
so yeah played it once :P

I've only played SP once, but that's more due to not having the time/inclination to do it at the moment rather than lacking overall desire. As others have said, I'm waiting for DLC as well.

I got through Rannoch on my 2nd playthrough and just uninstalled.
I couldn't go on.
I think I was in shock or denial to get that far.

Yup, basically the same. Played the other two so many times and ME3 SP just once.

Twice.

I had to an Insanity run. Rushed through it as quickly as I could.

I finished the game on the PC the week after it came out and I haven't been through it again since.

The first thing I did on finishing the first Mass Effect was start again. ME2 took me a week before I wanted to play through again because I didn't like the changes to the combat and the rest of the 'stream-lining'.

I just can't summon the enthusiasm to play through again knowing I'm going to get a choice of three near identical endings. Hopefully the Extended Cut will provide the differences the Star-Child talked about.

With enough variation I might be tempted back into the third game.

I might marathon ME1 to ME3 after the EC is released, but I haven't played ME3 since the first time I beat it.

I'm about to start my third. After that, I'm going to wait for the EC.

When additional DLCs come out, I'll probably redo the entire game, like I did with ME2.

Once is all you need. All you need to know about EVERYTHING in the game, in the series, is right there steaming in a pile when you finish ME3 once.

Who wants to go face-to-face with a steaming pile more than once? What's WRONG with you people who yell, "ME!"?

Hey now!  RGB is a tried-and-true coloration scheme!  What, do you want a CYMK ending instead?

Only one play for me of ME3. Only game in the trilogy I can say that for. Stuff like the ending, Tali's face, broken journal updating, and broken promises cured me of the desire to keep playing the game again until the extended cut comes out.

I got through 1 and 1/2 times. I'm waiting for the EC as well, though, I was never a hater of the ending. In a way, I see no good from the EC, but I suppose that is waaay off topic.

Twice, created two more new characters and got to the 'Escape Earth' segment and then could not be arsed. Not because of the ending but because i simply could not be arsed.

I played ME1 and ME2 multiple times. ME3, I only played twice. The second playthrough only to complete it on insanity. I just don't find it as fun as the others and the multiplayer, WAY too repetitve.

The side quest system alone is worth at least half a dozen playthroughs, surely?  No love for the eavesdropped side quests for trinkets?

Anyone?  No?

Me. It's boring linear game.
