Is there anyway to mute people? I was playing today and some guy was on there having a full out arguement with some woman named Tracy, it was making me laugh too much and I died.. Then the match after that another person had just left there voice chat thing on and all the sounds from the game were echoing through, and I think he was eating potato chips...

Nevermind, found on another thread that there isn't a mute button on ps3.

What works for me is plugging my own mic in and muting it. All the talk gets filtered into a headset that I'm not even wearing.

It doesn't solve the problem if you're looking to only hear specific people though. A mute button would be nice.

I got to listen to 2 french people argue the other night. Could only make out bits and pieces but someone was going to being in handcuffs for spousal abuse later that night.

lol i do the exact same thing i turn my mic on when ever someone  or more than 1 is talking i dont want to listen to in the game so i turn mic on hit mute and sit  the mic down and go on with my game . problem solved . unles im with friends i try keep check on it from time to time see if they said anything. and then you have people wonder why the mic thing is lit up and complain about someone not talking or doesnt have a mic . lol that too makes me laugh low and behold  they not thinking people are muting them .

People who turn on their mics and set it down with a noisy background are no better than loud chatter. I'm just saying, I heard dogs barking constantly with this one guy who wasn't responding thru voice chat.
