The official line from EA reps who have been here is that the Dragon Age dlc requires an HDD.
You make no mention of what your '360 Kinect' has HDD-wise, so that should be your first avenue of investigation.

OBakaSama Dragon age dlc requires a HDD, The Kinect it self comes with a built in one clearly however my issue is the fact that the disc its self for the dlc doesn't register this HDD as a usable HDD, which is why I am confused my old Elite had a detachable hard drive, this one would require me to open the system its self to figure out the issue, I put the disc in it comes up saying please put a HDD in the xbox 360 and please try again as it doesn't even detect and or register it. that's my issue I'm believing its the coding in the game disc its self. not the system as for HDD wise I find it hard to believe that the system would have a "different" HDD from what the original xbox and xbox elite would have.

In such cases the next thing to do would be to investigate the HDD itself; and it would mean opening up the 360 to get to it. The old 360 models had an external HDD with the new Slim models having an internal HDD. Older models are easier to check for connection problems with newer models being trickier. Microsoft's site has a guide to checking the HDD, check that if you need to. I'm not convinced it's a coding issue though, it's likely to be a connection problem.
I recall one user thought they had a HDD but it turns out their model didn't. That's why I wrote '360 Kinect' because that only designates a bundle which is available (at least where I am) rather than an actual 360 model. A Kinect bundle could have the Kinect an a 4GB internal flash 360, but that's all rather beside the point.
EDIT: Microsoft's site for HDD.

Okay I'll give the site a look over thanks Most likely this is the issue and it can be corrected.

Okay so thanks for the help its next to impossible to notice this mini-black button that can be pressed in and seems when I bought the Kinect it came with no HDD at all splended trickery on microsofts part thanks for everything I would have torn it apart from the inside out to find out there was a button. lol
Edit: More confused to why the internal one didn't work like a normal HDD. most likely to force you to buy more products.
