I'm trying to level up Allistar as he's reached lvl 25 yet I need a few more points in strength for him to wear a certain armor yet the tomes aren't working.  I click on it, and it doesn't make the usual sound?  I went back to play screen and it doesn't show the level up icon either.  I reset tried again and had the same thing go on.  plz help.

Yep.  You could always load an earlier save game, but you may not want to do that depending on how far back it would be.

Do tomes usually work on companions? I only use them on myself.

You can still use tomes past level 25 to buff up your stats tho

Try making Alistair wear the helm of Honnaleth (sp?) if you have the stone prisoner, the key of the city, the lucky stone (if you unlocked it), that other 120 gold worth overkilling belt... And you have a +7 to all attributes... OF COURSE, you lose all the bestest thing in the game too...

If you have the stone prisoner, the harvest festival ring will give a +2 to strength too...

After tweeking your stats with equipment and putting the higher stat req equipment on you can then take off the stat increasing equipment without having to take off the high stat req stuff.



Also a problem I had with tomes was if I had 2 or more in my inventory it wouldn't let me use the ones I had gotten later until I used the ones I first bought.

aaahhh....thanks for that...so it's just a bug then.
