I am Russian. Had a game with some US dude yesterday. The ping was bad. I said 'banshee to the right' - the ping was bad, message garbed and he started shouting 'we speak English in the United States'. I said 'I said banshee to the right', he said 'Ah - ok'
Then he proceeded insisting that ping was bad because of a Russian player. It took a few minutes (3 waves) to explain to him that my ping is my problem as long as I'm a guest and not a host. His surprised exclamation was 'you'wa not da host? uh?' Funny for this game, despite being the generally average player, I scored most, used consumables and generally was one of the two players who dragged the objective backpack on wave 10 with bad mix or Russian words, English words, and cobra spam.
In the end the guy from presumably US sounded quite amiable. My personal advice as conclusion from the above happened game. Don't judge people generally before playing with each one individually. Don't demand everyone to speak YOUR English 'cause you speak it in your US. Btw why the heck don't you have your American independant language and use a borrowed one from the UK?
And to mirror it all, my opinion of American players is that they are different. You might see a school child who dies a lot, might see an ex marine who does things right but has it hardwired into his brain to throw one grenade prior to entering a room, or you might see any other type of a decent player.
