I can't stand people who don't use their own gel when its a desperate situation, they just ****ing lie there EXPECTING ME or someone to revive them even when we're either separated by long distance or pinned by many enemies. Idiots. Selfish. And I'm like the only one who does use it when I need it.

Reminds me of this chick I once dated.

You know why you have this feeling? Because there is a LOT of Russians. Probably many of those players with generic nickname, who don't speak a word and just sweep the map in silence, doing objectives, revives and getting highest score in the process were also Russians, but you just didn't realize it.

Sweeping generalizations make you dumber.

I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize to any Russians who may have joined any games I was hosting. Sorry about the lag - blame the lack of regional matchmaking.

My hubby and I played a match with 2 russian guys yesterday. They both had mics and were nattering away while destroying things, and Shayne and I were just laughing because we didn't understand a word of it. Every now and then we picked out words like 'krogan' and 'quarian', but all in all we played a great game, helped rez eachother and made it to extraction.

They could be saying anything about me, good or bad, but because I can't understand. meh, whatevs. Got a good laugh out of it anyway.

@Creighton72 What do you mean? I'm not an aussie (I'm a kiwi), but I'm intrigued.

edit: fixed my horrible spelling :P

Have played several games with Russians, they seemed fine to me. No different than most random games except they seem to talk quite a bit. I find it strangely entertainingi listening to them even though I have no idea what they're saying. Although I did play a few games with two female russians which was fun listening to them. At the end when they had to go they said "Thank you for game, bye!" which I thought was cool.

I am Russian. Had a game with some US dude yesterday. The ping was bad. I said 'banshee to the right' - the ping was bad, message garbed and he started shouting 'we speak English in the United States'. I said 'I said banshee to the right', he said 'Ah - ok'

Then he proceeded insisting that ping was bad because of a Russian player. It took a few minutes (3 waves) to explain to him that my ping is my problem as long as I'm a guest and not a host. His surprised exclamation was 'you'wa not da host? uh?' Funny for this game, despite being the generally average player, I scored most, used consumables and generally was one of the two players who dragged the objective backpack on wave 10 with bad mix or Russian words, English words, and cobra spam.

In the end the guy from presumably US sounded quite amiable. My personal advice as conclusion from the above happened game. Don't judge people generally before playing with each one individually. Don't demand everyone to speak YOUR English 'cause you speak it in your US. Btw why the heck don't you have your American independant language and use a borrowed one from the UK?

And to mirror it all, my opinion of American players is that they are different. You might see a school child who dies a lot, might see an ex marine who does things right but has it hardwired into his brain to throw one grenade prior to entering a room, or you might see any other type of a decent player.

Nothing that's why I said I like playing with Aussies

Aussie Aussie Aussie hoy hoy hoy.

Let me be clear one of my teamates is an Aussie, the other is a Brit, they always argue, but in a good way. So it's fun for me.

Who uses their consumables before Wave 5? Save them for the waves that are actually hard.

All the russians I've played with have been pretty awesome. Also as someone of russian (with a hint of jamaican for flavor) descent, I find your disingenuous assertions disingenuous. Also if you're not the host it seems there is an extremely easy fix for what ails you.

Seriously, what the **** is wrong with you?  I think it's disgusting that you post this discriminatory bull****.  What about members of our community that happen to be russian?  No ****in respect.  Seriously.    It's atrocious to make a thread like this and hopefully it'll be zapped soon, as it should be.

Can't ****in stand racist or prejudiced jerkoffs.

Good post, glad to have ya, and sorry you have to put up with this discriminatory bull****.  Also sorry you have to endure seeing a moronic thread like this on the first page.

I think it's not that there's anything wrong with Russian players per se, it's just that people tend to associate them with not being able to communicate and higher latency; neither is anybody's fault.

Unfortunately the human psyche is such that when we associate bad experiences with certain people we tend to blame those people; so ultimately this thread is really just a demonstration of why we need latency based matchmaking.
