Does staying completely faithful to Liara in ME2 (NOT having ANY romances with other characters (Miranda, Jack, etc.)) affect ME3?  Or should I just go for it because it doesn't affect it?

I know it may sound like I'm asking for spoilers but I just want a yes or no not a how.  Thanks.

Wasn't it widely stated that there would be consequences in ME3 if you did this? Perhaps not irreversible ones, but with a Liara romance you find out in Lair of the Shadow Broker that she knows if you've been cracking on to someone else. Actually she's pretty b!tchy about it if LI #2 is Thane. Again, might be possible to smooth it over and start again with her but I don't think it's consequence free.

I guess I didn't get those statements. My videogame office is terrible with paperwork.

Well you'd have to have gone looking for all the PR pre-ME3 release, but if you've got the Shadow Broker DLC for ME2 and have already imported a Liara romanced character from ME1 you can just romance someone else before playing Shadow Broker and see what happens. If you haven't yet I don't want to spoil it but I think I can say that it isn't really hell hath no fury like an asari information broker scorned, but like I said she's got a line for every other romance that Shep might be into and the Thane one is a hurt Liara being nasty about it. Actually so's the Garrus one, but that's also pretty funny for the player. Come to think of it I'm pretty sure that there was the option in Shadow Broker to start again with Liara even if you'd been flirting with someone else, but I'm not sure if that still stands if you've gone all the way to the horizontal tango part.
