I've played Mass Effect 1 and 2 a few times before, always as a paragon male soldier. Now I have the trilogy, I intended to play the whole trilogy as something completely different, so I'm playing as a renegade female adept. But I forgot that unlike the KOTOR games where it's good or evil, in this game you can be both. I'm fairly renegade already, but I just don't know if it's worth sticking with it, if all it means is that the endings will be evil instead of good, just because one bar is longer than the other. I also maxed out my Intimidate bar, which I kind of regret now, because I could have put points in more interesting abilities instead. But then maybe some fun conversation options will come up.

Anyway, without going into specifics, are the renegade endings of the trilogy any more interesting and/or fun than the paragon ones? And are there more than two endings? To be honest I can't really rememer the ME 1&2 paragon endings. But I'm guessing that it was something along the lines of "the universe is saved thanks to you blah blah blah".

No. Contrary to popular belief, you get the same ending for each playthrough. ME1 you get a Red ending, either kill or save the Council. ME 2 you get a Blue or Red ending, destroy or save the Collector Base.

Very lackluster, just ME 1 and ME 2 had a more streamlined and acceptable approach, so less people complained about Vigil being the same as Vendetta or why you're stuck with Cerberus and how conveniently they piece together everything when everyone else can't. Killing Wrex on Virmire can lead to a higher EMS score in ME 3, but other than that it generally doesn't matter. Its just usually Wrex is easier to deal with in the sequels.

Generally ME1 is better overall as a Paragon and ME2 is generally better as a Renegon. That is to say, ME 2 is the easiest Renegon while still giving you some flexibility in your P/R major choices.

Ok, although there are spoilers there. Probably best to delete topic
