There seems to be no way to “naturally” detect traps in SoZ (i.e.: without using a Lens of Detection or casting Find Traps). Is this a bug or one of those silly “improvements” to make the game more “realistic”?
In any case, my rogue is pretty much useless if he can’t detect traps he needs to disarm. *shrug*

I've never had any trouble with rogue skills in SoZ. Traps have always been easily detectable for my rogue party members.

You need at least a rogue level to detect the stronger traps, but that doesn't seem to be your problem. The only other thing I can think of is that you're just running into them, which can happen if you go too fast and not in search mode.
Rogues can do other things besides disarming traps, by the way. Like, kill things.
