Bloody hell with the hunters and the seven hundred husks. Also now the cerberus guys reeeally hate you and they are more than before. Also applies to silver, read many people here saying it feels like old gold.

I appreciate that people enjoy saying they're sooo good at videogames and bronze is sooo boring and please please make it harder so we don't have easy/normal/hard but rather hard/nightmare/hell because that gives you l33t jarkor gamer cred or something... but damn, the little guy has paid money for this game too, you know.

bronze tends to have more newbs so you do tend to get swarmed. Geth on silver can get ridiculous in later waves because almost no troopers spawn anymore, especially if you aren't overload/ED heavy. Cerberus and Reapers are still manageable for some reason.

They haven't made bronze harder. In fact, they rarely ever make changes without notifying us in the multiplayer balance changes.

You probably just had a couple of bad games.

Either that, or you just need to practice staying in cover and making the right decisions.

I suggest you make some friends and improve your game through playing with them.

I know that helped me play Gold.

One thing they did change. Your rest time between waves is shorter, so you have less time to reammo or to spawn cap. Over the waves it adds up.

Only time Bronze gets hard is when too many people go Rambo. Granted with the patch and the balancing the enemies have become harder, but then so have the weapons and gear.
If bronze is too hard for your build, change the build.

What he said, and since the new matcmaking system, you'll be probably playing with less experienced teammates, so more to kill (and revive) for you. Just see it as good practise for silver games ;-).
Silver certainly didn't become harder, in my opinion.
Maybe you don't have high level weapons yet ? Can't see your manifest, cause it's blocked Image IPB.

I only play in bronze, and i wouldn't say It's hard, but it can go wrong if you are in a bad team.

I can't count the times I had to do all the objective, complete a wave by myself etc. just because Mr. Yosemite Sam thought it was a good idea to go and said hello to the angry mob heading our way, or the Sniper fellows who are apparently glue to their spot and won't revive a player even if you pay him.

Anyhow, just play smart and safe, and you'll do just fine.

Mostly play silver but dunno if there has been a change or just my imagination. But it feels like especially Cerberus have become more aggressive. Not that they do more damage or so, but rather that they are quicker to fire and advance on you. Also to me it seems they are quicker to stomp downed people now.
But like I said, could just be my imagination.

Geth and their suicidal tendencies are annoying as well.

Anyway, on topic: I jumped into a bronze game last night to try out melee on the new Cerberus classes for fun. At first I took it easy and used cover n such but then I quickly became bolder. And then stupid so ended up being rushed from two sides and went down. Point being that most people may do this on bronze. Starting out with thinking "Hey this is easy, they go down in one-two shots!", and thus biting off more they can chew and get swarmed.

Folks. I've pretty much been playing nothing but bronze since the demo. I can tell, ok? There are more enemies (for example more phantoms), they are more aggressive, and the hunters in particular are now a pain with their magical paralyzing shotgun. Also, good piece of advice staying in cover. I used to do that. Then I can't anymore because at any given moment in time I have seven husks playing bongos with my helmet.

Maybe it's all due to balance changes in general, but wasn't this difficulty level to be the not-so-hard one? I was used to things, then it became silver-lite.

Aside from the husks which I'm not sure about, there really hasn't been, to the best of my knowledge, any changes to the enemy spawn parameters in bronze. There is a max cap of phantoms per wave actually, so you will probably see max of two in any bronze wave.

And yes I pretty much play nothing but bronze from the start, until recently when the Matchmaker started dropping me into Silver and Gold. Grr. Not much changed about the difficulty; maybe it's that we need to take longer to kill the Atlas and Prime. Reaper certainly doesn't feel too different.

Can you show me where in the balance change thread it was stated that time before match starts (wave 1) would be longer and time between waves would be shorter because that's now the case and I don't see it listed.

My own experience with bronze is Cerberus has gotten more aggressive. I used to be able to camp in certain spots for the first few waves and pick off them off at my leisure. Now there are more troops and they swarm my position much faster.

Can't speak for Bronze, but Silver feels like there's at least two to three more husks per wave than there used to be. And I am an expert on husks, as my characters seem to always wear Axe Body Spray for Husks and attracts them like nobody's business. Seriously. My friends have even commented seeing husks run by them to have a rave party on my head. So, trust me, I know husks.

Cerberus... can't really say. Feels same on Silver, but seems quicker to execute when down. Maybe the same for Bronze?

I'd rather see a new difficulty thrown in, instead of a ton of ridiculous buffs.

I have been playing since the demo too, honestly don't notice a difference in Bronze. I have noticed silver being harder, but not terribly so.

I did play a game yesterday when we had 9 banshee's on wave 4 reaper gold...never saw that many on wave four. Only one or two at a time but there were definitely 9 total.

Just want to correct what looks to be a common misconception. There is no fixed set of enemy per wave; rather. Each wave has a list or recipe of unit types it can choose from, some with minimums and some with max caps. It depends on the wave number and enemy type.

Each wave also has what looks to be an increasing budget. So wave 1 would be small, whereas wave 10 is fairly major.

So conceivable that there are more husks, though supposedly there is a maximum per spawn... Max 3 at a time. Multiple spawn per wave is possible, if they have the budget for it.

I've noticed that the Geth are a lot harder to fight and I'm positive that buffs have been made to them, that weren't listed in the weekly balance changes. It wouldn't surprise me if more buffs are being made without being listed.

Nyoka, please don't be angry, I was new to this game like 3 months ago too and bronze was hard. try to buy all newbie guns to x via rookie packs, use of mantis makes life easier a bit. Also I could take you for a few silver farms no problem - just add me, we'll think of some few games.

Number-wise, I don't think there's any difference. However, since demo, there's some Geth unit switch, like 1 less pyro and 1 more prime in the field? I can't recall, and probably more.

Strength-wise, do remember some mobs have received buffs, and certain glitches (effectively weakpoints) patched.

Edit - I did a quick scan-through of the balance changes sticky, Bronze's units mostly have been given more Health/Shields.

I haven't really found bronze to be harder. Maybe you were playing on Condor or Goddess, the cursed maps of evil mischiefery.

If you don't have a high N7, you are probably getting paired only with other low N7 players due to the new matchmaking. While N7 doesn't always reflect skill, you're probably missing out on the pretty good N7 700 players coming to bronze to try out a build, play a lower stress match, etc. It may just be that your team is now usually less effective than it used to be, putting more of the responsibility for killing all space monsters on you.
