Bronze?
What's that, never heard of it.

I am quite certain this topic is a joke and the OP is sitting back and having a good laugh...   ;)

When I stated playing MP, I found bronze pretty hard and well balanced as a challenge. Now, at N7 14xx I find bronze maps to be empty.

The moral of the story is that with a little practice, you will find bronze maps easy too.

I love the MP game, but I'm not very good....I just have fun and try to buy as much medi gel as possible in case i am left for dead...bronze can be easy or tough, it all depends on your team.

I play with the best team (my friends)...so i always look good because they are so AWESOME!!!!!!

Cay & Nat...the best teammates evar!!!!!!!

Nyoka, please don't be angry, I was new to this game like 3 months ago too and bronze was hard. try to buy all newbie guns to x via rookie packs, use of mantis makes life easier a bit. Also I could take you for a few silver farms no problem - just add me, we'll think of some few games.

Chastising remark: This is not what the topic is about, Ru. It's not that it's difficult, it's that it's more difficult than before.

TBH I sometimes find gold games easier than bronze... just because of the fact that there are so many enemies on gold that I can not afford to leave my teammates, where as on bronze I couldn't catch up with them even if I tryed...
And now that I got all the cool weapons unlocked... the only difference is numbers... and the amount of hits you can take before you die... which in 90% of the cases is irrelevent... as if you are going to be shot at ... you are going to die anyway because you are most likely in the wrong place... or with as huge amount of lag as possible to get hit even when fleeing or in cover by enemies you have never seen...

I noticed this too.  Bronze definitely seems to be more difficult now than it was.  You can actually die now if you aren't careful.

Folks. I've pretty much been playing nothing but bronze since the demo. I can tell, ok? There are more enemies (for example more phantoms), they are more aggressive, and the hunters in particular are now a pain with their magical paralyzing shotgun. Also, good piece of advice staying in cover. I used to do that. Then I can't anymore because at any given moment in time I have seven husks playing bongos with my helmet.

Maybe it's all due to balance changes in general, but wasn't this difficulty level to be the not-so-hard one? I was used to things, then it became silver-lite.

It's just you. Bronze isn't difficult. It really is not.

When a Bronze game goes sour, with more enemies than I'd expect to see at once piling on the circle we are supposed to stay inside, I consider that Silver leaking into Bronze.  You won't get a lot of sympathy here from people who regulary play Silver because that's not "hard" either.

It can be dealt with before everyone is wiped.  Liberal use of rocket launchers by everybody is the best move.  Newer players only carry 2, so not using them at random is an important thing to learn.

As far as EVERY Bronze game being harder, I'd say only Geth qualifies.  When I'm tired, I set the game selector to Cerberus and hope it actually works.  Just like the Bronze setting giving me Silver and Gold, I get Reapers and Geth even when I asked for Cerberus...

Multiplayer is harder now on all 3 modes. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. They have adjusted the mechanics to make things harder. I don't know if they did it because of the many people complaining about it being "too easy" (despite the fact that many people were still struggling with how hard the game was), or if it was just something they just decided to do-still the results are the same. The game is in fact harder now. I can still play all 3 modes (well not so much gold cause finding a match on gold is impossible at the moment), but there's no question that the difficulty took a spike.

Dunno, I still am able to solo bronze with drell adept, maybe it's just because all I have to do is reave and run :-p. I'm sure some people can solo bronze with any setup/class but I find that some setups are more solo friendly. If you are finding bronze games are getting harder try to do a couple solo runs and mess about with different race/class combos to find one that is most effective. That way you know you can survive if things go badly. You don't need UR/R weapons to do well in bronze. The avenger X is pretty darn good in bronze and will give you 200% cooldowns.

I agree with op it is harder than it was before.

In any case for some reason I score higher in silver than bronze. (As in I am often 2nd in the core list on silver but quite often 3rd in bronze. Same character.)

If you don't have a high N7, you are probably getting paired only with other low N7 players due to the new matchmaking. While N7 doesn't always reflect skill, you're probably missing out on the pretty good N7 700 players coming to bronze to try out a build, play a lower stress match, etc. It may just be that your team is now usually less effective than it used to be, putting more of the responsibility for killing all space monsters on you.

me and my firend were both in the 600s the other night, then a random of a 600 somehting came in ( playing gold BTW) then finally after a minute or 2 of waiting comes in an N7 rating of a 1. yup somebody who never played 1 match befire with a mantis 1 and an avenger 1 on the human male soldier. suffice it to say he didn't even make the 25 kill mark lol. and thats with using 2 missiles.

I agree with this. Difficulty took a spike. If they did it because of the "omg, I'm so awesome and gold is so easy I can solo it with one hand wearing a boxing glove"  attitude, well, there's was no need for it. They could have just add another mode like Uber Diamond or something

Anyway, there's an easy way to cope with the new difficulty. Better equipment. And, thankfuly, BW provides a quick way to get geared up:wizard:. Isn't that awesome ?

I have been playing since the demo too, honestly don't notice a difference in Bronze. I have noticed silver being harder, but not terribly so.

I did play a game yesterday when we had 9 banshee's on wave 4 reaper gold...never saw that many on wave four. Only one or two at a time but there were definitely 9 total.

I'm pretty sure that each wave has a certain amount of replacement enemies, which spawn when an enemy is killed. If you kill a husk, for example, another husk will spawn and use one of those replacements. If you constantly kill the banshees without paying mind to the other enemies, more banshees will spawn to replace them. This is just based on observation, I'm not 100% sure it works in precisely this fashion.

Can't speak for Bronze, but Silver feels like there's at least two to three more husks per wave than there used to be. And I am an expert on husks, as my characters seem to always wear Axe Body Spray for Husks and attracts them like nobody's business. Seriously. My friends have even commented seeing husks run by them to have a rave party on my head. So, trust me, I know husks.

Cerberus... can't really say. Feels same on Silver, but seems quicker to execute when down. Maybe the same for Bronze?

Executions are MUCH faster on Silver.  I was playing this weekend, and my teammates were getting executed within 5 seconds of going down at least once a match, sometimes more.  Especially with Cerberus.

Also, I think I saw 4 Banshees and 3 Brutes on one of the middle waves in Silver last weekend.  I don't ever remember seeing that many on a single Silver wave before.

Bronze does not feel any harder at all, although executions seem a little quicker, I think.

all the levels have increased in difficulty...i think bw has made the mp harder, that's the reason for the stronger weapons in the last dlc...
