NOTE: 2nd walkthrough, Haven't unlocked some powers, didnt even realize.

How to unlock the following powers:
Defense Drone (Tali)
Proximity Mibne (Garrus)
Defense Matrix and Decoy (EDI)*
Reave (Kaidan)

* Is EDI even a conversable character? If so, where?

Also, EDI out and out TELLS you where she is. That you haven't come across her tells me you don't like Joker either.
