I got the same slide, and hadn't Hardened Alistair. Female Human Noble.

Think it has something to do with his/your answers to the "What should I tell them" line of dialogue? I know that when I've told him to tell them the truth he says no, he's good at shrugging and looking dumb and have had the slide come up... maybe if you answer differently it doesn't?

??? I don't recall any talk about Morrigan's Ritual after the actual doing.... When does this happen?



As such, I didn't do ANY answer to it, obviously..

As human noble, marrying Alistair you can talk to him and one of the lines is like "there's going to be questions" and Alistair says that he's already received some from and they are keen to find out how come no one died... what should he tell them? And you have about 4 or 5 one being Tell them the truth, one being I don't care, tell them whatever you want and some others I don't recall at all.



I pick "tell them the truth" and he goes "You want me to tell them I engaged in a sexual blood-magic ritual with a dangerous malifecar and now she's carrying my demon-baby? No thanks. I think I'll just shrug and look dumb, I'm good at that."



It's pretty funny, but that is the ending I get that slide on.

Hmmmm.... If I had done that, I'd be breaking Oath to Morrigan ( so as to kill her). I chose the easier path, and didn't mention the child part...



Anyways, I suspect the Default is something along the lines of the Truth, or "I don't care" lines. My current playthru will unlock the Ultimate Sacrifice, so no go there.

2. They call Alistair to ask him about what happened and why are we alive.

:-m In case it is n2, i still don't get why he should go instead of the PC. He has done nothing. The PC has worked all the way, gathering armies, fixing all Ferelden, talking to Morrigan... He only had sex with Morrigan T.T and he is being charged with all the responsabiltiy ?

Possibly to account for the fact that you get to tell Riordan that Alistair can take that final blow.



My first run thru, I didn't say WHO would do that, had Alistair do the ritual, and brought him to the tower. I took the deed. Got that screenie, so I suspect: Bugged.

They wanted to make sure he's unprotected by the Warden so they can insert an assassination between this game and the next if he doesn't sacrifice himself, just to ensure that he's dead by the next game no matter what. It'll make for easier story design if he's just dead.

Well, in the case of #2, you can look at it as the PC being charged with the responsibility of ruling Ferelden while Alistair is away, but that still doesn't explain why Former Queen Anora would be mentioned at all, and why she is discomforted by Alistair being around his own wife...

-Ferelden had an opening or a lot of openings, and they needed to train the new guy how to do it

The gist I got was that he went alone and that it wasn't going to be very long. I suspect Alistair will catch some heat (assuming he doesn't just lie through his teeth) for the Morrigan deal. That or they'll clap him on the back and go "Good on ya."
