Bronze-level players, revolt!

This means Gold games become magnets for any player, no matter if they selected Bronze or not.
New rule for people who end up in higher-level games than they asked for: die. Do not waste consumables.
When enough Gold games end early or with partial extractions, leaders will learn that waiting for a full Gold team is the better deal...

This is fine as long as the three man team does not throw a fit at the new guy who can't handle gold and is not equipped to be in gold and is dragging the rest of the team down.

I don't care about it as long as said new guy is not leeching. Can't say the same for everyone, of course.

Agreed. Duo'ing is much more fun than solo'ing for me, less frustrations as well.

If all you can do is be a bullet sponge, just be the best bullet sponge you can be.

(There's a bug where the search finds lobbies based upon how they started. Changing it to gold after creating the bronze lobby attracts players searching for bronze.)
That said, if I find myself in a game I didn't intend to join, I always do my best. Consumables aren't that hard to come by, anyway -- you get them incidentally while trying to gear up. I've never had to buy a Jumbo Equipment Pack.
Only if it's truly hopeless, like I'm alone and I've medigeled twice and it still doesn't look good, do I give up. But then it's mainly so everyone can stop waiting and we can go back to the lobby.
Actually I'm often frustrated by people who don't use their consumables. I'll use a Cobra Missile on a Phantom or even a Ravager if I'm the last man standing and I'm not confident I can take it.

I do not think people start Gold games with less than four people specifically to lure Bronze-level players into a trap.
I love to do this.
Great fun!

As long as people don't run to revive you when they shouldn't. I used to run headlong into where my allies fell without looking, trying to be a hero.
But you can be a bullet sponge without dying. Just play carefully. Hang out in cover, ducking out to take a few shots when your shields charge up. You'll keep enemies busy, if nothing else. And just that can be huge.

Is quitting the match that hard? And don't tell me you have never been in the situation when 2-3 people get disconnected at the same time.mikepaul wrote...
Apparently the way some people are dealing with their impatience over Matchmaking changes is to start a game shorthanded because somebody will be dragged in to help them.

So my opinion on this particular issue is:
If you get dropped into an ongoing match and you feel like things are off and then notice you were dropped into a higher/lesser difficulty than you wanted, simply ask yourself if you have the time to spare.
If you have the time to play a potentionally disastrous match, then by all means, just go with it. People that get dropped into lower difficulty levels can simply run with it and try to reduce their consumable utilization to an absolute minimum, shouldn't be too hard at all.
For people that were dropped into higher difficulties than wanted, I do always advice to simply go with the flow. Stick yourself to another player (best not the Infiltratos if you have the choice) and just follow him/her and try your best. It can't be any worse than a total party wipe on wave one, in which case you lost maybe five minutes. If you get past wave three, you already have the credits equal to Bronze completion, if you get past wave six, you have the credits equal for Silver completion. And in any case, you always earn some experience. And if you happen to play with decent players, better yet with ones that communicate, then you can get some really helpful pieces of advice/help to refine your skills.
That is my take on it, never waste a chance to learn.

Not happy.
I picked Bronze for a reason. The system needs to respect it. If for some stange reason there are no matches that fit my criteria (any enemy, any location, on bronze), then just tell me so and dump me back in the lobby. Don't put me in a gold or silver match.

If the system's going to gimp my fun, I may as well get some benefits out of it.

Tricking bronze searchers into gold games is an exploit.
You can't be serious. Actually sounds like a work-around for the useless N7 matchmaking system.

Now twice this weekend, I had trouble getting a game, so I just started one by myself figuring people would get pulled in. These were just Bronze games. By round 3, I had 3 teammates.

This past weekend, I started bronze games with less than full lobbies because it seemed faster for people to join in-mission than wait in the lobby. Maybe some silver/gold searchers joined those and no one quit. I think you should give it a try. I still play mostly bronze, but didn't feel like I could do silver well until I got placed in wave 2 of a silver match once.

I will play if put in a match later though. If it looks like someone just left, I stick around.

Actually, why not give it a shot. I give it a shot, as long as I make it past 3, 6 or 10, I get oodles of money. And oodles of XP. Doesn't matter if I contribute that much or not -- I'm not going to since I'm not prepared for gold.
If the system's going to gimp my fun, I may as well get some benefits out of it.
Usually I get dumped in the middle of a match and everyone dies before I can last long enough to get credits. So my time and effort is wasted. Maybe I get 10k credits which is 5 less than what I would have gotten on a Bronze extraction.
