I got into one of these today. I was trying to test/level a character on bronze. We wiped on wave 5.

The host had bad lag, which didn't help.

I do have to say that i would like to know at least what skill level i am playing when i get into a random match. If i select random enemies, random maps, and then random skill when i enter the game it should inform me as to the skill level. The play styles are different for each skill level. Bronze is run and gun with no regard for anything but cleaning up. Silver is a balance between run and gun and hide. Gold is just hide and seek, i hide and shoot at them while they seek.

Again, why should I be a quitter?  Zero option to disagree with joining plus no extra equipment to make it a fairer fight.  All because some people couldn't wait for more and didn't want a Private game because they knew they'd GET no help.  Kidnappers deserve what they get, and from now on every Gold drop-in will be considered kidnapping rather than troop replacement.

If you think people start game just to drag bronze people in, you're just being shortsighted.
Why would gold players hope for a bronze player?

The new system hinders all people finding full matches.
Gold players notice it the most due to the limited amount of gold matches.

Also people get disconnected, if you don't believe that, do a quick search, there are thousands of topics about it
Lastly, the new AFK system punishes people for say, opening the door as the doorbel sounds.

While I wish BioWare would fix their matchmaking, your assumptions are baseless.
Also, lack of wanting to leave shows you are willing to reap the rewards from a gold match, but are not willing to invest.

[Edit: I would like to add, that I've never, ever heard people complain at the person that just gotten dragged in their gold match]

I could not make sense of any of that. It's funny, I've never heard the phrase "we will not reach a middle ground" from anyone I'd consider reasonable.

If you hate being thrown into random lobbies so badly, join one of the groups mentioned earlier and play with them. Random is random, no one is intentionally putting Bronze players into Gold matches.
But if you don't even have the decency to help your team -- or at least to not hinder them -- you don't deserve to be on a team.
