There's DLC already?
Yep. It costs only 6$ and has corresponding amount of content.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed playing it. But I want more DLCs with more content. Even if they will cost more than just 6$

To start off, I was incredibly suprised by how much I enjoyed this game. I have played Heavy Rain, and liked it, but I didn't find it that special. I think the ensemble cast took away from it a little bit. However, B:TS for some reason really connected with me.
I loved the weird blend of Sci-Fi and Paranormal (not to mention the horror elements which caught me by suprise) that the game blended together, and its definitely one of my favorite settings in recent games. Also the continuity with following Jodie's life, and seeing how previous events affect her life (or simply seeing how you as the player knowing the past and future, alter her decisions) really just worked. It really felt like I was RPing Jodie, more so than many RPGs out there. Even the decisions that don't carry over really let you stay in character.
Gameplay was enjoyable, though obviously not everyone's cup of tea. It could be incredibly intense at times. I enjoyed that combat, and many of the QTEs, but some where indeed a little difficult the figure out. However, I feel like making mistakes in this game makes it the more enjoyable.
Then there is the ending, and how everything came together. It was pretty much perfect in my opinion. It answered all of my burning questions, explained the disjointed timeline, but left just enough ambiguious and open-ended to keep the world alive. I ended up picking Life and Alone, and with the way I played made perfect sense. It was touching and heartbreaking, both depressing and hopeful. Jodie standing alone at the end of the world somehow felt right. Most importantly though, it didn't feel preachy. By no means was my game a perfect playthrough, but because I made the decisions, and the game tried to tell me anything was right or wrong, it truely felt like I could play how I wanted.
I loved the game, and I connected with many parts of the story. It was flawed, and I believe many might find it bland and too slow, but if you can get behind the setting, story and characters, and make that connections with this game, I don't think there are many things that can top it. Simply watching a playthrough doesn't do this game justice.
I definitely recommend it to this that find anything behind the interactive story telling appealing, and understand what they are getting into.
If I had to sum up the game in a few words, I 'd say the game is the most interesting, and believable game I've played in a while.
Score: 9.5/10

I just finished B:TS and thought I'd stop by an spout off about it. Definite *spoilers*, so be warned.

Is that even enough to cover the costs of Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe?

On top of development and advertisement? Doubt it. Unless they didn't ask for much.Liamv2 wrote...

I don't know about all that. But if they are I'm pretty indifferent to the studio anyway. Not that they just deserve to lose their livelihood.Liamv2 wrote...

Just want to remind that Quantic Dream's main business is providing motion-capture and post-production services for movies and game development studios. They are simply one of the best mocap studios in the world. Making amazing and unique games is what they do more like professional and inspired enthusiasts. The kind of enthusiasts, who usually set the future standards of quality long before majority of people finally admit the true value of great job they've done... Also, 1 million copies for 3 monthes - this is quite good for an exclusive game, actually.
Quantic Dream is already making new game, by the way. But looks like it will not be B:TS sequel.

Wait they are? I was only aware of that tech demo from E3.
They only said they are making it. There was some kind of demo that was shown privately. You can't find it anywhere.
"At one point, it seemed as though The Dark Sorcerer would be the PS4 game from Quantic Dream, but we quickly learned that it was just a tech demo, with David Cage telling Game Informer (via CVG) about the tech behind it: It’s really the technology from Beyond (PlayStation 3) that we just ported on PlayStation 4 very roughly. I did a couple of nice improvements here and there, but it’s not really a PlayStation 4 engine the way we are going to do it on our next game."
"When it comes to their PS4 game, David Cage revealed that it’s “still in pre-production,” before continuing: I mean Beyond really took all our attention and resources. But we have a small team working on this next-gen project – on the tech, on the concepts and art. And it’s very, very exciting project, something different from Beyond and Heavy Rain… building on the same grounds, but in a very, very different way."

He also added to the part that it probably doesn't cover the cost
