Interactive movies are probably the best way to tell really good stories. When you buy such game you already know that devs concentrated on how good the story will be represented, i.e. you don't have to worry about how good the story is executed.

And gameplay... in fact, all those FPS, TPS, RTS, and all other genres of gameplay just can't create immersive atmosphere. That's why they require a lot of cut-scenes to look good. And how exactly interactive cut-scenes are bad? They are not bad at all, when each possible interaction perfectly correspond to the action you are going to perform. Also, if game is interactive movie, that doesn't mean it can't have FPS or TPS mechanics at some capacity.

Beyond: Two Souls is a great example of how modern interactive movie should be made, and how exactly really great stories should be told.

...I believe BioWare should try to create one.

I mean interactive movie game. If this will work out, they might keep doing such games, and become the best storytellers :)

I don't think bioware would make a game like this. It is too different to the type of games they normally make.

And I believe that would be an interesting challenge for them, as well as great story for us :)

They could attempt it. One of the things i hate about bioware games is the actual gameplay parts. So one without gameplay would be great.

There is no universally right way to create a story. Lets not be stupid. Some people hate The Lord of the Rings, others love it, because some people hate it does that mean it is a bad story?

There is no such things as a universally liked story.

They did make two, the interactive comics.

When is Richard Roeper going to review Beyond: Two Souls?

I have a thought I want to run by the fans of Beyond: Two Souls:

I hope R* releases DLC for GTA V where you can watch Beyond: Two Souls in the movie theaters in Los Santos. It would be great for the movie and video game mediums to squash the animosity that has been built up between them and do this.

I actually would like to add to that offer and see if Ellen Page would like to do some V.A for one of the upcoming strippers DLC's that Trevor requested by breaking the third wall.

I bet that you're the sort of person who thinks that Blood Meridian isn't better than an eight year old with down syndrome writing about his ******-ruined bed.

Whatever. Attack me instead of my argument. Glad to see you could defend your position with such class.

I did attack your argument though. It isn't my fault that you're not perceptive enough to recognise it.

No, you made a judgement on me that had nothing to do with what I said.

Please look harder, Miss. I've very little time for people who misrepresent the posts of others on account of poor reading comprehension.

You started off with "You're the sort of person", even if you didn't mean to - you indirectly are attacking him, not his stance on the writing.

For some reason, I find there's something more beautiful about the live performed version of the main theme, despite the bad quality. :S

Well, good "interactive movie" has quite interesting gameplay, because all interactions are logical and correspond to the actions in the game. And pressing right button in right time or any other interaction in such game is not as simple as people might think. You have no warnings, and you have just one second in all critical situations that require fast actions. My poor Jodie has lost almost half of the combat scenes in the first playthrough, and stayed alive mostly because of Aiden's help and some lucky turn of events implemented in the game's scenario.

...And also those "fading conversation options". Can you imagine for example Mass Effect, where you have limited (VERY limited) time to talk?... Thought too slowly? It's over. And there is only single auto-save in the game. Enjoy interactive movie difficulty. And learn to think fast :)
