That bug happens with critical shot as well. I just started a new rogue archer today and have noticed it several times along with arrow of slaying. Arrow of slaying is worse of course, since it takes a far larger chunk of stamina, but they both do it.
The one thing I really can't stand about DA:O archery...

You must be using a bent arrow. I hear there is a herb that will fix that.

I...I don't quite know what to say to that. Well, actually, yes I do, but I fear that by saying what first came to mind would prompt the moderations to remove me from the forums, and that wouldn't be very fun, now would it?
