That's why people just want to deny the ending and wish it was some kind of test.

In retrospect, I was letting them go too mildly. Some Synthesis supporters' posts on this forum are baffling.

OP's idea makes about as much sense as Synthesis, really. It just doesn't have the deep, 'holy **** that's disturbing as hell' undertones to it when you actually stop to think about the implicatins.

Some people are really good at sympathising with villains. I'm one of them. I can usually see the villains point of view and even agree with them. Pretty much every villain. They have their motives.

The scariest thing is that everybody is capable of falling into that thought process. No-one is immune.

Most of the Synthesis hate is my fault. If I can lay any amount of crap that has descended on the BSN it's that. I made a huge Synthesis hate thread and all the hate came after that.
