Do you remember how Liara helped saving the SR1 crew in the beginning of ME2? Most people survived because of her. I'm sure Liara was very helpful during that SR2 planetside crash.

So now she's an expert on crashing ships?
Seival, that's gotta be the stupidest thing you've posted in this thread now.

Disagree. Everyone on the Normandy fulfills that criteria. Do you remember how Liara helped saving the SR1 crew in the beginning of ME2?

Shouting 'get to the escape-pods' is hardly expert material. I could do equally as well in that situation because it relies on nothing more than common sense.

Nice proof to refute my claim though.

Oh wait. How James is classified as one of the best crew members of a ship is anyone's guess.

Most people survived because of her.

That's complete conjecture.

I'm sure Liara was very helpful during that SR2 planetside crash.

I'm not. She was likely as helpful as an umbrella on Saturn.

To summize - you're grasping futily at straws, whilst not actually being able to provide any semblence of evidence to support the argument.

She is experienced in surviving a ship's destruction and helping the crew with surviving that as well. Test-flight is very risky, so these skills will be very helpful... And we've seen the crash actually, so Liara definitely helped people during this "hard-landing".

There we have it people.

Being 'the best' requires only that you have a smidgen of common sense.

Hey Seival, do you want a list of people that could fulfill the criteria? I'll warn you, there's several hundred million names here.

You sure you don't want people with relevant skills and experience crewing the ship? Or would you rather take Liara, you know, 'for luck'? I mean, I could get those Turians and Geth on the line right now and request their best crew-members if success is what you're going for.

Don't you think there are people who are better qualified than her for that kind of stuff?
You know, people who are actually being trained for that? Contrary to somebody who just happened to have experienced a crash landing one time?
By that logic, they would only hire people who survived airplane crash landings as security workers at airports.

ZZ, or Zulu, because Zulu sounds awesome.

No probs about the finger. The Crucible seems to have deprived everyone of Adobe.

If this theory is accurate:

Sheperd's squadmates have proven themselves able to overcome unexpected challenges. Humanity or whoever would have sent them likely did not intend or expect them to fail and be sacrificed. If exited the relay corridor somewhere other than the intended destination, they would need to survive and attempt to come back to inform the technicians about the results.

They could have been sent to an unknown system and have to deal with a hostile race. The Normandy is fast, tough, and stealthy. Considering the unusual parameters of their mission, the Normandy would have to be retrofitted with new additions to allow the ship and it's crew to be self sufficient for an extended period of time and able to endure any hardship they may face.

During the events of ME3, the Normandy and it's crew survived for months while fighting on many fronts in a very unconventional war against technologically and strategically superior enemies. It can be argued that no one is better suited to face the challenges of such a test. The future of galactic civilization depends on the success of their mission. Under these circumstances, the crew is unlikely to refuse (can't speak for Javik at this time). After all, one of the reasons the reaper war was fought was to preserve that civilization. Shepard activated the crucible and won the war alone (though he had help getting there). He/she did his/her part. Now the crew can help fulfill the rest of Shepard's goal.
