I wonder how many would defend Seival.
From the look of things, not a single damned person.

I would be interested to know what some of the "IT" believers think of this interpretation and why. After all, it can be argued that some of the complaints directed at Seival are similar to complaints that have been made by people who are critical of the "IT". I am refering to complaints about the narrative problems that arise from the particular interpretation and the dubious validity of "evidence" that is the product of speculation based on assumptions (or further speculation). Even the retorts are alike. I wonder how many would defend Seival.
There is nothing that makes any sense...
1. The first expolsion of a relay is sol but in a cut scene its not sol at all, its coming from the viper nebula which is where Arrival happened. Sol is then hit later in the cut scene.
2. In-game files has a file called "dream foliage" in it there is the plants we see at the end where joker is coming out of the normandy. This means that Shep is most likely dreaming as the file name states.
3. Why is Joker running from the synthesis/control endings?
4. Why does synthesis/control endings damage the normandy?

In the past, a story not making sense or contradicting itself was bad storytelling. Now, apparently, it is brilliant and innovative.
People call this phenomenon "Bizarro World".

Whenever someone mentions Bizarro, I have a memory of (I think) a bizarro Sealab 2021 where there was this high-pitched thing just running around shouting BIZARRO BIZARRO BIZARRO and pissing everyone off. It was the most annoying thing ever--and now it provides me with great amusement. I don't know why.

Just to remain on-topic, I think that OP's theory would easily fit in to that episode.

The difference between this theory and "IT" is that this theory is not changing the main ending concept at all.
"IT"ers want different ending. I want current ending to be explained in more details. So, I don't really think any "IT"er will be happy with this theory. They just prefer to think that the ending never happened.

This is an insult to basic logic.
Are you talking about the theory or about a picture above my previous post?
...The theory is logical enough actually. And I think I already answered all questions about the theory in previous posts. I can answer them again if you want. But I think it will be better if you just read the thread more careful.

Several important characters (and there were only a few that knew about the reapers) talked about the importance of species developing technology naturally. Legion also implies that accepting technology that was not developed by you blinds you to alternative technological advancement. The the Vigil and the reapers confirmed that the mass relays were a trap, a form of control that the reapers exerted on the galaxy to reinforce their cycle (I can only assume FTL drives are simple enough that following a discovery of element zero, any race would be able to figure out how to build them).
It can even be argued that the consequence of accepting and using the mass relays has been a minor theme.
With all of this in mind, why would the series end with the reconstruction of the means by which the reapers dominated the species of the galaxy? Also, why end the series with a failed test?
