But right now this theory about the crash scene is the most logical.

Why would anyone say something like that?

Because people have to make sure that reconstructed/reactivated relays will not kill anyone inside a ship due to incorrect calibrations.
Which is why you take the most technologically advanced ship you have available, fill it with esteemed war heroes and send it through.
Yes. The ship and its crew are well known for completing very dangerous tasks.
Which is why using them to test a new Mass Relay would be completely pointless.
Which is why using them to test a new Mass Relay would provide the best results.
WHY WOULD USING THEM YIELD BETTER RESULTS THAN SAY A DOG IF ALL YOU ARE TRYING TO FIND OUT IS IF SOMETHING CAN SURVIVE THE TRIP!?
You are making less sense than the Mass Effect 3 ending and the Terminator franchise combined....
I need to go and cry now.
You are clearly know nothing about test-pilots work. Test-pilots are best of the best. They test new planes with GREAT risk for their own lives.

The OP's scenario doesn't make a lot of sense to me either but some of the responses have been needlessly insulting. The scene is difficult to figure out (or it is poorly implemented) like some other parts of the ending. It's natural that people will try to make sense of it. OP is hardly the first to speculate about things we don't know by selecting pieces of information that support his theory while waving away the things that contradict it or even use his/speculation as evidence of the validity of other speculation. He's not badgering anyone or calling them stupid. Why not reciprocate?

Do test-pilots usually let their friends squeeze in because they've 'proven themselves'?
Actually, I head about one who let his Accountant mate hang on to the wings because he survived a completely unrelated dangerous incident that one time.

If that's what the Scene Meant, Where was the Transition to tell me what's going on?
no "One Year Later" Screen or something like that?
Something that Explains What I'm looking at and what's going on?

Joker can't make it alone. And do you really believe that all his friends will just abandon him in this task? They will clearly volunteer to fly with him.

If you have more logical theory - I'm all ears.
there is no logic in this scene because the game gives us no clue why the normandy is leaving the battle with sword fleet and the scene is directly after the mass relay explosion so we can assume its still in the same event
if the normandy crash would be much later it would be logical to assume that bioware would give us some hint that there is some time in between, like the stargazer scene is after the credits
and also if you believe its some kind of test run of a new mass relay or whatever, do you really think that they would send the most advanved and probably most expensive ship in the alliance would be their first choice to test a new or rebuild mass relay?

Joker doesn't even need to be there, EDI can fly the ship. EDI's body doesn't need to be there.
But yeah, I can see why his friends would volunteer for....... some unknown reason.
It's like a till operator car-crash survivor volunteering for a pinoneering trip to Mars because he knows and astronaut vaguely.
I'll ask again though, why is Javik there? Why is LIara there? Why is Garrus there? None of them can do anything to make the mission more successful, and I doubt any of them would volunteer, the previous two especially.

I think OP is implying that Joker can control whether or not he has green circuits and eyes. That or that after synthesis, that is how humans mate and Joker is mating with Edi.

EDI alone is not enough for test with living crew. The ship needs full crew for that, because even the ship's weight and crew's behaviour will matter in this test.
