Seival, how about you explain the low EMS destroy ending? As far as I know, we see everything getting vaporized in that ending, including the Normandy. How are they supposed to conduct a test run if everyone has been vaporized?

Not everything. At least according to the Old Man and a Kid scene. I suppose a lot of people and ships survived that blast.

yes everything.  look at the milky way.  Billions of solar systems have just been wiped out by the mass relay explosions.  The Citadel is a huge Mass Relay.  What chance do you think the fleet has right next to the citadel? The shock waves travel massive distances.  (and before you say it's just light - if it were just light you wouldnt see the shockwave unless a huge amount of matter was also jettisoned in the explosions)   The Normandy (in the run away scene) has its enghines blown off.  This would result in a massive hull breach. Also a massive release of energy from the resulting explosion.  On re-entry (if it by pure fluke survived) into an atmosphere the normandy would 'burn up'.  There would be nothing of the normandy left.  They would be toast.

Unless of course it's all a dream :wizard:

For the love of God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit and Allah and Muhammed and Brahma and Buddha and Odin and Väinämöinen and Zeus and Jupiter and Amun and Carl Sagan and Richard Dawkins, can't you people just let this malignant tumor die?

And if not, then:

The low-ems Destroy explosion clearly didn't disintegrate everything. You can see some heavily damaged ships after the Crucible's explosion. If not all ships were destroyed, then some ground defences also could survive.

...Well, and we still can't decline Old Man and a Kid scene.

Old man and a kid are not on Earth though. They're probably on some colony, maybe they're on PLanet Coward where the Normandy Landed. Who knows.

I will respectfully point out that it doesn't matter what it's called because that enitre sequence was an abomination.

I like that you have really analyzed the final scenes and I find that some of your reasoning are neat. But in many ways I have to agree with some others here. The ending didn't make much sense anyway, so I'm not sure if analyzing the ending will make it seem to have any more sense. But I did enjoy reading through the whole thing

IT is naive and have too many holes. It is still masterpiece compared to this thread and very well thought theory and sometimes you want to believe. IT still is miles better than you theory, Seival. I guess you're obviously trolling.

Trolls do not support anything. They can only post spiderman pictures in threads they don't like.

I think that "IT" is not even a theory. For me it's just an out loud cry of confused players, who wanted "independence day" ending for the Trilogy.

And my theory tries to explain Normandy crash scene in non-symbolical ways, because I believe that the scene was not symbolical from the beginning. And I don't think BioWare wanted to make something completely absurd in their game. The scene needs more explanations for sure. And I think that test-flight is logical enough in this case.
