Supporting Control was one thing, but Snythesis and crash landing of the Normandy is completely BS.

Guys, you just don't understand.

OP is right.

Joker gets green eyes after the crash because he's using super cyborg powers to shoot a laser towards the sky so Hacket can come and pick them up.

While on the Normandy he's using just human powers, so his eyes are normal.

Some of you really don't understand at all what synthesis is about.

So ... this theory suggest that the Normandy Crash scene is a test constructed afterward for re-enactment purposes? Or am I completely off the mark here?

LMAO! Sorry you're way off here. This was in no way what they were going for. First Joker isn't synthesized until after he exits the ship. In the destroy ending where they show Shepard take a breath, what sense would it be to suddenly show Shepard still alive after they are "testing relays in the future". It would make the ending even worse than it already is.

Eh... what? You seem to have missed the point here, what doesn't make sense is that the scene is in the game at all! It makes no sense what so ever to end an epic trilogy like ME by crashing all the main characters on a random planet with no way to get away from there!

Seival has done something I did not think possible, create a theory on the ending that everyone agrees would make the ending make even less sense than it already does.

/theory debunked

...You repeated it like 5 times already.

It disproves nothing, because eye-glowing could show itself only in some special conditions. As I said: Liara not always have black eyes. Her eyes change when she uses her special mental abilities.

"   lol what?

So now cyborgs have green eyes because they are using special powers.....

keep on digging that hole.
  "

You've found only one "time-difference weak spot" in my theory. A weak spot argument that can be be easily counter-argumented without any "space magic"...

 - Why "glowing eyes" must be visible all the time?
 - Why Samara is not glowing all the time?
 - Why Liara's eyes are not always black?

...At the same time you prefer to ignore the main proof of large time-difference between Normandy run and the Crucible's explosion. Joker had no way to know about the explosion. And Joker had no time to take all crew members and make a jump through the Sol Relay before the explosion...

Try to counter-argument this. And don't tell me about "bad writing". The more I analize the endings the more I believe that the writing was not just great... It was genious.

Sorry but it's confirmed that they are escaping during the battle.

Also, Normandy was probably in FTL and wasn't using Mass Relay.

Plus, it makes no sense for Destroy and Synthesis ending.

OP really succeeded in making people laugh.
The joke really has the perfect setup. First you're nodding along as all but the last frame make sense, while you're starting to wonder where it's supposed to go since they expose everything that doesn't make sense about the crash scene. But then, wham, comes the last frame and throws all logic out the window. Just like the ending, it attempts to explain some weird new concept that has never been mentioned before, and all that in like 5 lines.

your theory is quite interesting, but I think that it was confirmed that the escape scene is not an epilogue (the music still plays, etc., ME3 twitter). Space grandpa is an epilogue.

"Genious" writing would not contain as many plot holes as the ending does. And the lack of an indication of a time-lapse would be a MAJOR plot-hole were your theory somehow true. Either way, it's still incredibly poor writing.

Also, if this scene was really a relay test, why the HELL hasn't Joker (or anyone else, for that matter) aged at least a little bit? It's ridiculous to think they could build new relays in such a short amount of time, especially given how limited access to the necessary resources would have been. And why are all the crew members wearing the exact outfit they were wearing during Priority: Earth?

Sorry, but even if your theory was correct and a Mass Relay test was Bioware's intent with the scene, it still lacks that one necessary trait known as logic.

Oh god.
It is like a very deep game of chess where both players don't know how to play chess.

Maybe it *did* all happen in the future. Maybe the cut scene with Joker having green eyes was actually a shot of Joker and Edi's son test flying the Normandy 20 years in the future. After all, synthesis was really just a way for Edi to gain an organically friendly Emergency Induction Port. </sarcasm>

This is either a well thought out joke or someone so desperate for the end to make *any* sense that they are trying too hard. Either way, I laughed coffee all over my keyboard.

The fact that this thread even exists is really the only proof you need to show how poor the ending to ME3 was and is. Wow, so that's what passes for logic these days. My brain hurts.

I bet even Bioware moderators are scratching their ends. lol. This would never explain the only real option of destroy(hence shep alive). If you choose synthesis, you should have let Saren do his thing and put down the controller in the first ME. You chose control? you should have never stopped Tim, after all shepard said he was right after all. lol..
