Eagle does a lot more damage than any smg... it's not great, but then again, most pistols aren't either.

SMGs are already as damaging as assault rifles, while beating their ammo capacity with proper mods. I can outdamage a revenant using smgs up to silver, and that with them being pocket sized. Please spare my brain, it does not need trolling.

Just out of curiousity, are you basing your assumption of the Eagle's worth off of the gradient bars listed under the weapons in the loadout screen? Because those have a habit of lying to you.

Someone's going to say it, but; equip your preferred SMG without the ULM mod and open your Powers screen. Look at the recharge time for one of your powers. Then, put ULM on the SMG and check the power again. If you see a listed decrease in recharge speed, then congratulations! If not, well, too bad.

My mistake then. I remember reading through a thread shortly after the patch that included a lot of demonstration videos, but I didn't realize/remember reading that they'd "fixed" the power screen.

slap on a second weapon and you're talking about seconds.
Show the screens side by side and you really see the difference.

Back to the post, SMG's are fine.
They lack AP like the others which can be compensated by Warp, Warp Ammo or AP ammo.
I love to use a Tempest with AP ammo on my 6/6/6/0/6 Human Sentinel.
Light enough to give me 200% cooldown (or 180% with Tactical Armor) and combined with Warp Expose/Pierce it destroys armoured units even on gold.

What's in dire need of a buff, I think, is Assault Rifles. The Tempest is flat-out better than most of them and is significantly lighter.

im sorry that i didnt phrase that correctly what i meant was asari with 200% with carnifex feels the same in game as 200% from carnifex and ULM hurricane
