Depends on the map you want to play. Some maps work best for medium range (FBW, FBGiant), some builds work well for Long range and some for very very short range (FB Ice for instance). Most maps are versatile enough to accommodate most classes but are just better suited to specific builds. What do you have in mind?

Edit: After looking at your manafest I'd consider a 4/6/6/6/4 Geth Infiltrator build. Its high risk/high reward and works well with that Paladin V of yours. Just add a scope and a heavy barrel and it could be fun. It will take a lot of skill getting used to aiming for headshots and also spaming cloak/proximity grenade in close order but once you have it down its very rewarding watching things heads pop.

My preference is the Geth Engineer equipped with a maxed-out mantis and any pistol for backup. It has a turret which not only fires on enemies, but also periodically recharges shields. Overload, especially with the incap organics ability recharges quick and can quickly disable annoying enemies. Also, I'd suggest maxing out health and shields so you can last a while in tougher fights. I personally don't like hunter mode, however, and almost never use it, so I never really put many points toward that ability.

I've been having a lot of success recently with a Turian Sentinel using only a saber. Max out Tech Armor for damage protection, power damage, and cooldown times, plus overload for damage, incap organics, and extra hit, followed by max turian passives in whatever flavours you fancy. then 4/4 in Warp and Fitness, specced for damage and shields respectively.

Overload delays, stuns or strips shields, opening up enemies for a head shot from the saber, which is wickedly powerful and more versatile than the sniper alternatives. Tech armor alongside already high shields (1050 i think) adds incredible survivability too.

Alternative would be a fast-recharging human or geth engineer, based around overload - the most useful power I've experienced so far. Had great success with both builds.
