DAMN YOU BIOWARE. GRRR

Okay, so we have two thirds of the ensemble already. Let's see... we've had approximately a billion stupid boring ass humans. We've had two boy elves, and one girl elf.

But... no dwarves whatsoever. WHAT MADNESS IS THIS.

Come the next game I think you should mix things up a bit and make us a dwarf or two to love. Male or female, doesn't matter. It would be so cool. Humans are getting very dry and boring. Elves are ok; mind you, if they existed in real life I'd be all over them, but they shouldn't be overused. Dwarves are hot.

Oh, and DON'T exclude female dwarves from the next game. It's a sad world when it's full of ugly women with no hips. DA needs its short, curvacious ladiez. ^_^

Why would race make a character boring?

Bleh, I dunno. Lack of "exotic" interest and back story.

David Gaider is racist against dwarves. A bit of Deep Roads love won't be going down on his watch.

To be fair, they're still about 5'2-5.

that's an odd fetish you've got

If you think that's an odd fetish you're terribly sheltered.

I'm not really keen on the looks of dwarves to start with, but for me personality trumps looks.  Unfortunately, the dwarves in Dragon Age (and fantasy in general) are unappealing in personality as well. I didn't find any of the dwarves in Orzammar appealing at all. The only dwarves I've found interesting were surface ones, usually having personalities very undwarflike to begin with.

I liked Sigrun and Varric (in fact, Varric is my favorite companion in DA2) and I would have happily romanced those two if I had the option.

Honestly, I'm thinking that their only barrier currently is the cinematic design, which was even more emphasized with DA2 and I'm assuming will be carried over into DA3. If you have multiple races that can get into romances with each other height difference can be a problem. I'll admit though that I never did a female dwarf Warden who romances Alistair (taller than Zevran), so I wouldn't know how those scenes looked.

As far as dwarven companion romances in general go, I'd say that the extreme popularity of Varric, including those who would have wanted to romance him if the option were available (myself included!), certainly puts emphasis on how character writing is a stronger influence over appearance. If you had a female dwarf whose personality was similar to the character Val from the PvP comic I think she would be a very popular character for guys and gals alike and certainly recieve her share of romantic admirers.

Sigrun please.

With longer hair and lighter tattoos please.

She was probably the only good looking female Dwarf in all of Origins for me. Dagna came a close second, but there were problems with how the Dwarves of DAO looked, both facially and bodily.

OMG I totally LOVE Val!!  Trying to make up my mind still if she's just a delusional short, plump woman or an actual dwarf of legend!  Either would fit the current story Scott Kurtz is doing on her!  In fact, I just came from reading that to these boards.

I did! He missed her face a good few times when going in for a kiss, but I'm under the impression that might actually be a bug in the cinematics for Alistair regardless of the height of your Warden. So who knows.

It's funny, I feel almost like I've HAD a dwarf romance because my canon Warden is a dwarf, so it's not something I missed particularly. But yes, more dwarves would be nice in general. Personality trumps race in all cases though, so IMO it depends entirely on who the dwarf was that you'd give romancable status to. I haven't had a disappointing DA romance run yet so I trust whoever becomes romanceable for DA3 it'll be good, dwarves or no.

Damn totally forgot about her. I really enjoyed her character and the way she looked, quite unique for a female dwarf.

I'm really curious to see if they bring back female dwarves for DA3, how they are going to make them look with the new CC, and how different, if at all, it will be from DAO.

Oops I forgot Dagna, the cutest girl in DAO, but for me it wasn't a romantical feeling.  It was more like a beloved puppy or an overeager anime girl I wouldn't romance, but I certainly found her appealing as a character.

In da:O character creator , I think female dwarves were way cuter than elves and humans.
I'm doing a female dwarf and Zevran romance and he misses my character face during kiss.Seems like he's embrassing the air...
About the body , they looked a bit like a brick but every race suffer of poor animated body .

I wouldn't mind a male dwarf romance , though maybe not your typical Orzammar dwarf ...I like Leske and Varric , i think they shared the same VA ...

It's probably height issues or something in the cinematics.

Well.. If they can make a seductive voice female dwarf with curvy body, then I'll be interested, But I doubt it's going to happen. I never find any male dwarves appealing enough for my female character tho.. Varric's personality is fine as far as close friend. But my female character tend to prefer someone much taller and righteous like Sebastian.

If someone needs a dwarf to soothe their jaded romantic sensibilities-- "I desire someone short for a change. Patron! Bring me a dwarf!" -- then I'm afraid I can't help them.

Because I hate dwarves. It has been spoken. B)

There's always Zevran, if you want someone short. Well, DA:O Zevran.

It's not about the size !Besides i thought men would encourage anything that goes along "size doesn't matter."
When a dwarf is cool , he's way cooler than any human or elf. It's a dwarf thing.Besides they're the only one who seemed to grow some chest hair!Chest hair is very important for a good romance !(maybe not on female dwarves though :D)

It still stands. I'm not a real-life dwarf, but I would definitely be if I lived in Thedas.

Search your feelings, David Gaider, you can’t feel this. I feel the conflict within you. Let go of your hate.
