Just played a round with someone sniping with a Krysae, like ya do. I figured I'd whip out my Javelin, imho probably the most skill-intensive not-**** sniper rifle (looking at you, Incisor). The charge-up time requires quite a bit of getting used to, but I'd forgotten how much I love this gun. Guardians? Three of them in a row? Javelin don't give a ****. Brutes? Nah, no biggie. Plus it looks damn cool.

Shoutout to my boy Javelin, a true badass's sniper rifle.

Used hunter mode and things started to look...funky.

My Widow can chain-snipe Guardians just as well thankyouverymuch.

I've been holding off on using my Javelin until I got it upgraded past level I.  I should probably use it a little to practice though.  I seem to gravitate to the (B.) Widow though.  Might be the scope.

I use my Javelin II over Widow. It is the moist powerfull sniper and with GE or GI it becomes even more powerfull.

I find if funny because fluffwise the Javelin is the world's most powerful ferrofluid super-soaker

the javelin is awesome with the GI cuz of the geth weapon dmg boost. spec'd right, you can get nearly +200% dmg off of a cloaked shot. the piercing on that thing is already amazing, so with a piercing mod it just goes thru anything

only cons are the learning curve, weird scope, and LOW amo. but for the single most powerful sniper round in the game, i think its worth it

I love the Javelin and prefer it over the BW so long as it's on an Infiltrator who can drop shields out of cloak (need ~2000 dmg). So basically SI, or GI, since proxy mine with HM should bring it down, and if it doesn't, you can use ammo powers to get past the last bit of shield. Hunter Mode wallhax is also hilarious, as are triple kills.

If the game is lagging significantly though, forget it. I can deal with 200ms ping easy enough, but when people start skipping and point blank (i.e. Brute, Atlas) shots don't register, that's not fun.

Use spare ammo mod, then you get 9 =D

Besides, with the built in themal and peircing the olny mods it needs are barrel and spare clip.

I would prefer to use the proxy more than once every twenty minutes if that's how you're building the charactor.

I feel the Javelin's limitations too much in gold. Even with a salarian infiltrator, I'm not able to strip off entire shields from enemies. there's usually a sliver left and that still makes it a two shot weapon on regular enemies unfortunately.

Thought so, too. Then I wanted to improve my headshot rate. I looked for rifle with a higher rate of fire which still does decent damage. I took the Valiant for a while, seldom use anything but her now. Not only do multiple shots work around the shield gate, but I think I am taking out bosses even faster now.

Sigh. What i'd give for some more Javelin upgrades.

Yet those PSP's refuse to give me them, argh! Perhaps i'd better max my rares out first, then I may have more luck..

Use the repsective mod. You don't need armor piercing or scope on the javelin, so after enhancing damage (which you probably want) there is still one slot left.

why arnt you using proxy mine while you are cloaked? so it goes off of TC's cooldown and not its own

any ways I dont like the javalin at all I dont like its feel I dont like its scope and shield gate makes it obnoxious when killing mooks on gold
