Hey everyone!

I uploaded a video of my farming spots for all maps in gold.
I only play gold with friends and even with players who never entered gold I have an almost 100% success rate on all maps. I wanted to share them with you.

This video is NOT for you if you solo gold every day before breakfast :)
This is for the "normal" guys and casual players like I am.
Share the video with your friends and try it! I promise you will succeed!

Please leave a feedback with suggestions and thumbs up if you like it. Thx

I'm not going to watch it all now, as it's too late for me, but I'm liking the look of it and maybe it'll help newer players realize that STAYING together in a defensible location actually works if you can't handle all the trouble gold throws at you.

This is for the "normal" guys that like to exploit the game to get virtual rewards they can use to exploit the game better for more virtual rewards.

or the "normal" guys that can't quite hack it on gold yet and are feeling run over by the RNG store because they STILL cannot play as an Asari.

or the "normal" guys that really want to learn how to be better, and are trying to learn the ropes of gold.

I mean, did you start this adventure on gold? or did you have to use training wheels when you first ran it too? (yes I'm self-confident enough that I don't mind sticking up for the "normal" guys here since I've just taken the training wheels off this week and am finding that I'm better at this then I thought I was).

These are more or less my favorite defensible spots. Unfortunately I am running gold with a newer group and they feel moving through the map is the way to go. It works well with a team that is able to think on their feet, but for the most part they struggle when we try this. I will reference you when I try to convince them to sit still.

By the time you farm all of the maps you basically end up just playing Gold. :)

If you can beat Geth on all maps throwing in a few Cerberus and Reaper matches won't be a big deal at all.

Actually, I've found cerberus to be far easier on most maps (you need a reliable way to deal with phantoms, like a stasis asari, or an infiltrator and powerspammer working together) and Reapers to be easier than Geth on a few maps (highly dependent on group make up though).

Edit: ok looked through most of the spots, and I have to say I'm not really surprised that most of those are where I find myself hanging out. Dagger's the only one that surprised me, it feels too open and vulnerable out there with shots from on high and 3 entrances, but I'm not sure there's a better place that won't get immediately swarmed on that map (I've always had a group of roaming murderers for Dagger).

Exactly. I personally find Cerberus to be the easiest because the only threat (Phantoms) can be dealt with in so many ways (Stasis, sniping, Ballistic blades, Krysae, Reegar, GPS etc) that it is really an after thought.

There's an easier setup for Jade that I've been shown, keep 1 person by the extraction near the ammo box and 2 in the room in your vid, and have one person move between the sides depending on which side has more spawns, had some bad runs with all 4 of us in that one room, plus it keeps spawns on the other side of the map for the most part

I play the game because I enjoy the game.
If you can't play well in gold, it would be safe to say you do not enjoy playing that difficulty. Play a lesser difficulty so you can enjoy the game better.
If you make a game specificly to take advantage of an over easy stratagy just to earn more virtual money to buy more virtual items so you can make your stratagy even easier, it creates a vicious cycle.
You basicly start to work for the game instead of use it for enjoyment.
Now if this is how you choose to play that's fine. The only way it'll affect me is if I land in a farming lobby, at which I always have the option to leave at any point.

However saying that the 'everyman' is a farmer and should farm is something I took offence to.

I just added the times when a map starts in the description. So everyone can click on the map he wants to know.

I think that actually is the worst spot on Firebase Ghost where you want to get pinned down. It's really vulnerable to fire, specially on the restroom area, and the closest ammo boxes are both exposed to fire.

Firebase Ghost is a rare map where moving around with the group actually works better than staying in one place.

And I had never heard about guarding that spot on Firebase Dagger before. Isn't it a bit vulnerable to fire from above?

It's not an exploit, to use a defensable position all the maps have them and in some cases more than one. The developers put in defensable positions to be defended.

By the way on dagger that spot you were sitting in cover at is a draw spot put a Infiltraitor just left of the ramp by the stacked tanks. Your going to draw a lot of fire camped there, the infiltrator can play flex supporting the ramp at 10 oclock for your position and you, he can also cloak and turkey peak. It's the best kill spot on that map when defending.

The other guy is right about Jade. Two in the room you were in one by the ammo crate, and the 4th playing flex. Always have a flex player when defending. The best set up for defense in this game seems to be two by two flex cover. If either position gets in trouble flex will support, if either gets overrun, you can fall back to position two.

Ah, that I'll grant, but you missed a step in the transformation from "I just got this game and MP is kind of fun," to "I'm good at this game and it's still fun." I found Silver to be the perfect difficulty as long as I have 1 or 2 teammates that's not up to par, if everyone is capable of doing Silver then I can easily dominate it and we'll have the game over in no time flat, but when I stepped up to Gold I got creamed. My adept went from heavy weight to dead weight, my Infiltrator went from sniper to runner, and we'll not even talk about my poor Vanguard.

So I put some training wheels on, farmed some FBWGG, got comfortable with the amount of enemies coming at me. Then I found a good team on Silver (we did silver dagger in <20minutes) and we went to Gold, and it took a bit longer but wasn't much harder than the Silver run because I knew what to expect. Now I'm joining U/U/G and starting to get to the point where I don't have to check my team out more than a cursery over view to make sure no one is doing something dumb (like n7 24 with a level 6 in gold, or Asari Vanguard with Claymore2 and Widow5), and I still have pretty good success rates.

I don't believe that all farmers are just there to farm, many of us are there learning how to handle the amount of enemies in gold, or get enough credits to actually get the new toy we want (I wanted the Carnifex forever it seems like, and could not get it. I got my AA real quick, but I know people that have been here for 2-3 months and still cannot get her to unlock for them)

You really need to consult a dictionary regarding the meaning of exploit.

Strategic positions are OP. Strategic positions should be nerfed.

Way to go OP!

Firebase Ghost always works perfectly for us, yes the ammo boxes are outside, but I never have problems to run there quickly when I run out of ammo.

I think the term "Farming" is misleading. The places indicated are fine spots that can be used camp the maps, and are better than the majority of users will use. But they are not comparable to FBW.

I use the same spots, and it would be great if more users will use them, but again they can't be exploited as much as the FBW.

Johnsen1972, I believe you got some of the maps mixed up.

The first one is FB Ghost. FB Giant at 4:43 is actually FB Condor. You're missing FB Giant.

Interesting setups, but some locations limit how far ahead you can see the enemy.

Yeah, Ghost is only one that doesn't convince me. All others, except Dagger, are where I would go if I wanted to camp, but Dagger actually convinced me (when you take into consideration spawn points and the fact that the AI won't actually keep the higher ground and use it against you... Ravagers can't even shoot over the ledge, haha).

For Ghost, what do you think about the room at the back of the map, the one where there's an ammo box near the ladder ? Put two guys outside the L-shaped over on the left, and two inside to guard the ladder, stairs and the other door. I think this could work quite well.

Firebase Giant seems to be missing. Using the link below the video, I get Condor instead.

The spots on Condor and Goddess are the usual spots. Each other map one will have a hard time to persuade randoms to do it. The FB Dagger spot, although I see the concept, is feared by everyone including me. Every now and then you get a download objective there and it is really hard to stay there. I find FB Dagger much easier by defending the tower.

Try out dagger, with my tactics. You just need to face the tower. If you are in the tower, you need to watch three entrances and sometimes you get suprised by pyros because you have focussed the other entrance.
With my tactic you see them comming from far away. Remember my team is on the LEFT side. You cant compare it with the hacking mission.
