It seems I pissed him off despite getting him ironbark. Will curing the curse get him to sell me stuff? I guess I shouldn't have broke up those 2 young elves lol. But it was oh so much fun.
Any way to get Varathorn to sell you items?

Failing at pickpocketing seems to get him into full on jerk mode. But he seems to get better after you cure the curse, yes. I wouldn't pickpocket there again though if you want his stuffs. At least, not till you have no chance to fail.
