Hah. Are you the kind of player who also always headbutts when playing a krogan and charges everything in sight whilst thinking themselves to be the second incarnation of Jesus Rambo Terminator? I bet you also have a melee mod on your shotgun

I'm talking about the ones getting 100k scores while everyone else is around 40k. I hate playing with these players because you feel like you're just getting in the way when you try to help them.

So if I player is good at ME3 Mp he/she should avoid to play the game in order to not "hurt your feelings"?
Flawless logic, indeed.....
Seriously: it's called co-op for a reason, you know. Because team members have to cooperate. Everyone providing their own skill and roles to the overall team in orther to complete the mission.
After all ME games are a simulation of Special Operations.

I don't think so, if someone's waiting for killing an almost dead enemy, he gets fewer xp points than someone taking down all alone an enemy. And I doubt he can reach 100k+ only by 'stealing deads'

-facepalm- way to ignore this already being adressed. The point system is broken and people can get most of the points from an almost dead target easily ..... I've kileld 1 health bar phantoms and gotten over 1k points as well as finishing off that 1 armor bared atlas and getting over 2k points. Wait what? .... Yea that's what I thought ....

Le nope.
If they shoot an almost dead enemy, they only get a very small amount of points for it - the points you get are directly tied to the damage you deal out. If those players get the most points, then surprise surprise, they actually were the ones doing the greatest percentage of damage to enemies.

Oh, also grabbing objectives nets you points, but nobody cares about those insignificant things, right? No,no, let's just rage about killstealing and so on, how dare those players be better at this game than us, right?

Accually it seems like xp is baseds on damage dealt not percent of damage. so a widow shot on a char with 10% health will often give way more then 10% xp. I havent noticed this post patch.

If I get outscored, I take it as a challenge. If they stick around next match, they have to play against my SI or AA. When using those two, 100k is a low score.

Did once get a bit peeved when a Kroguard with a Reegar ran around Hydra on Gold completely unchallenged by the enemmies, so I made a game of seeing how much I could take out with my Widow before he got there (because there was no chance of killing anything near him, and everything behind him was blue goo), though this did mean eventually I shot a guy he was rounding on through him. He did not appreciate the friendly competition, and the next time I was down, he came over, ran around me in circles and ran off again. The time after that, he repeatedly tapped "A" to revive to waste time, then Biotic Charged off into the fray, and was put down almost instantly. My team revived me, and left him to bleed out.

It came as no surprise when he topped the leaderboard, nor when he quit immediately after the game.

Strange, because that is not consistent with my experiences. When I'm distracting an Atlas for other to shoot, I tend to get around 800 points when the Atlas explodes and I get the killing blow on it.

Good sir, your arrogance is only exceeted by your factual incorrectness.
I also play gold - so what? I die rarely and revive - so what? You think just those things make you a special fluffy cookie? Hah. On what basis do you assume that you survive longer than me? Have we ever played together? Not that I can recall, as it happens. Or are you just prejudiced against people with an infiltrator signature?

Sometimes, I play with someone who is ridiculously good with the Revenant. I'm not ashamed to say that she can consistently outscore me by 100k.

Thus my nickname for her: Revenant Lady.

She has BLACK Revenant!

Generally, guys like that like to have good players to play with, and you usually want them on your team. I played a bunch of gold/reapers last night on PC with two of my bsn buddies, canp233 and xassantex, plus a random guy. Capn233 is a great team player and he did not play any different than the rest of us, he is just a great shot, lol. Only when he plays infiltrator does he rack up ridiculous scores ( 140K ), but you are pretty much unaware of it because you are too busy killing stuff yourself.

There are a few guys that are knuckleheads, ( sit behind you with their carnifax while you spend four shot cycles taking a Geth Prime down to 1 bar health left, then they fire the killing shot while you reload your claymore ) but you have to laugh at people like that.

If I notice someone is ridiculously good, then I feel my best job is to watch their back for flankers, stay alive, and weaken enemy in that order.

It happened recently on silver: just two of us in a lobby, and he said "shall we go?". I'm happy with three on silver, but he had like a Black Widow X and Hurricane, so thought why not.
I think a random joined left, another joined and left, but essentially he soloed it, with me tidying up after him - killing trash, doing carry and disarm while he spanked everything in sight. I think he scored at least double me, but so what. I was not unimportant, and team synergy, even with two, is still important if you want to extract.

Hate them so much when I'm trying to obtain Krogan rage or Vorcha Blood mode. They usually cause my death then don't do anything to even attempt to revive me. Those are the people that when I see them go down I just walk away.

If you didn't take the hint it means you don't understand they aren't really good. They are normally the ones in my backpack.

Sorry to point this out but if you do most of the damage you get most of the points.

Anyway, I was trying to find a good Gold lobby today when I got thrown in with some very young *ehem* idiots.
I was an Infiltrator and I was killing a brute when one of the turds told me to stop because he needs to get points to level up his character.

When I explained to him that at the end of the match all the points are added up and we all get the same amount he started to tell me that wasn't the case.... wow, just wow.

He then told me to stop "kill stealing" when I was shooting at mobs with full health. Really?

So I said over the mic, "Fine you little turd, I'll just leech for the rest of the match, I'd like to see you newbs clear this without me!"

They wiped 30 seconds later. I just ran up to a Banshee so she could put me out of my misery.

Funny thing was at the beginning of the match these... N7 50-100s were trying to tell me an N7 1560 how to do my job.

End score

Me 150K
Them a collective 50k

<_<

Name the time, name the place, name the weaponsand you two can battle it out. I'll be playing the neutral third to confirm the results.

In general I agree with you, but there is something weird about it - ie you seem to get points for full damage you did, even if enemy had less health than that - at least that is my impression.

Ofc it is not possible to reach highest score by doing nothing and finishing off almost dead enemies.

Honestly, I've never cared too much about getting my kills "stolen" in any game, but in ME3 it's a complete non-issue. All I care about is making it to extraction.

wat

if someone is outscoring the rest of the team by a huge margin, he is helping you out big time whether you admit it or not.

please study the part of your post that i bolded and think about why it's stupid.

Yes thats why the person I always see with the highest score goes down more than anyone else as well ... I don't call waiting for weak targets then barley taking them down as being helpful when I have to leave cover to revive them every minute or so ....

What sort of idiots are you grouping with

I'm shooting 24/7 and regularly score 100k+.  I'm not sitting around trying to steal anyone's points, I'm not even looking at health.  I'm just shooting, cause I want stuff dead as quickly as possible.  I'm also normally the last to die, but that's not surprising when playing an infiltrator.

As long as that player takes out the banshee I'm running from as she's trying desperately to touch me inappropriately, then he can take all the points and kills. All I want at the end of the match is my credits, XP, and dignity.

For me, it depends on how they are racking up big scores. If they are running around basically solo, killing alot and not dying....no problem. One shotting, or 2 shotting mobs....great.

If they are just picking off targets with a sliver of health that would die from a DoT anyway....not so good. It's that they are wasting opportunity to help the team to simply "buff" their score. The sad part is, this last group think if the team wipes, it's because everyone else was bad.

Yeee, already pointed out a minute before me? Even with the broken point system I doubt someone can reach 100k+ only by taking down almost dead enemies. And as far as I'm concerned, I never get 2k points for an almost dead atlas, but nearly 800.
