Use it on a Geth engineer that's where it shines. I think the Harrier is a very good weapon, definitely my fav AR next to the Saber.

If you have actual death threats, send the links to Bioware and get them banned.  As for the harrier, I have it only at one, but I can't see how it's OP.  It's decent, but the ammo issues are a /real/ problem.  I'll probably continue using it mainly on my human soldier, since she can eke out a lot more shots thanks to AR.

What's ridiculous is that the harrier is ultra-rare but not nearly as good as the Krysae, a rare.

Like I said, I want to try it on a weapon based Krogan Soldier or Sentinel.

The problem is, weapon based classes suffer the most from the limited ammo capacity. Of course with a Krogan Soldier you're probably running from ammo box to ammo box to refill your nades anyway. I've been using the Harrier on the QME with great success. Arc Grenade -> Incinerate nuke groups and mop up with the Harrier. Nice damage against elites too. Even against Reapers that setup is very potent.

People b**ch about the Krysae and Reegar, but the harrier is damn near broken with how I can mow down Atlases and Primes in two clips.

Not on gold you can't.  Kind of tired of seeing people judge a weapon based on other difficulties.  I have it and you aren't downing boss enemies with 2 clips, sorry.

yeah, I'm not trying to say that gold is better, but people who don't play on gold shouldn't try to say that a weapon is good. Any weapon is overpowered on silver and bronze, gold is where it's cruicial to have the best weapons.

About the level X thing: since the DLC arrived I got probably around 25 or more ultra rares in around 150 packs I bought on release and in the following days, maxing out all my ultra rares including the Harrier. I got like 1 ultra rare in every 2 or 3 packs. One time I got 5 ultra rares in 3 packs. They have been dropping like crazy for me since the DLC. So having a Harrier X is not something impossible, especially if you had the other weapons maxed out before that.

As to the Harrier itself: I don't really get it as well. It's not bad, but it's not really that good either. There are other weapons that get the job done better and faster with less ammo problems. I use it on a human soldier but it's not very impressive.

Except the majority of the multiplayer community doesn't play on Gold. If all you play is Silver then why the heck would you decide which gun to use based on it's effectiveness in Gold? I'm tired oh people saying I use this gun effectively and I enjoy it only to have someone come along and say it doesn't work that way on Gold so it sucks. Guess what? They aren't on Gold. If the gun they are using is effective then let them use it and have fun.

The Mattock is seen as a decent weapon, I'd guess an automatic one would not be terrible.
But if you mean, why is this gun an ultra-rare? I can't answer, the other addition feel like they deserve that place more.

Stop poking sticks into hornet's nests, if you don't want to get stung.  Cause/effect, even if those stings can literally kill you in return.

Really? I mean, REALY!?
Death threats is a whole other level. I mean none of those idiots are going to follow through, but that hardly excuses the behaviour or even fall under effect without breaking the laws of physics.

IMO the Harrier is best used on a Human Soldier. Then the small clip isn't such a problem because you've got the free reload of Adrenaline Rush, on top of nice damage bonuses. AR also makes firing continuously a lot easier because it will restore your shield gate + 40% DR. And then you've got that Warfighter Package that gives you 2 more grenades + extra Assault Rifle Damage. Damn nice.

Maybe I am missing something but I have played with it and it is OK.

I can kill faster with so many other weapons including the Saber.

So what is the big deal about the Harrier?

How many times are you going to make the same thread?

Is it 2 on higher levels? Couldn't really find the stats and mine is only at lvl 2, so there is just one bonus grenade.

Edit: @Feneckus: Stupid me... Thanks

I kill faster with it than both the Krysae and Reegar

Claymore kills faster and has less of an ammo problem.

Claymore has a range problem. Harrier lets you drop enemies from across the map. It's a wonderful weapon. I favor it over every other AR. You can put down volume of fire on bosses and groups, and still make the precision headshot on individual mobs.

Also, "kills faster" is a vague statement. When you factor in reload time and any necessary travel to get within range, the apparent speed of the Claymore may fade away. Granted, when you;re face to face with a Phantom, the ability to drop it in one shot is great, but I can kill a half-dozen base enemies with a single clip from the Herrier without moving anything but my right thumb and trigger finger.

I would like to know if it having more recoil when fired from cover is intentional or just an oversight. Every other weapon has noticeably lower recoil when fired from cover, but with the Harrier you barely even notice recoil, unless you're in cover. It's weird.
