Has anyone else had a moment like this? Where you are just so annoyed with someone that you basically just said (on or off the mic) "I'm not reviving him."

Normally I don't get to frustrated with other gamers, but the other day I was having a particularly bad day, and decided to farm on FBWGG so that I could get some credits and buy some jumbo equipment packs to replenish my medi-gel. In the lobby, I was waiting for a little while for people to join (hosting the match) and the third person to join was...

A lvl 12 human male vanguard. With an n7 rating of 60, using a Saber 1. And no equipment.

My immediate(sp?) thought was 'oh hell no' and I quickly hit the 'kick' button, as did the second person in the group. The fourth person on the other hand, an SI, decided not to kick, and instead hit the 'ready' button just like the vanguard. Eventually the second person in the team hit the 'ready' button so I said to f*ck it and started the match.

The first ten seconds of the game everyone ran to the bottom of the map like you should, and jumped behind the counter. However, five seconds after the enemies spawned, the vanguard decided to hop the counter and run forward and around the corner, and try to go up the stairs.

I am being completely serious when I say that he died as soon as he rounded the corner. Got up maybe one or two steps, and not a single enemy had been killed yet.

I was annoyed enough that I actually turned on my mic just to say 'Well I'm not going to revive him.' By that point the vanguard was talkiing on the mic, but he had one of those annoying kid/teen voices and I didn't even bother to listen to what he was saying as I covered our one ally (the SI I think, who was probably his buddy) hop the counter to revive the little idiot.

In the end, after talking for a while longer on the mic (and me still not listening to what he was saying) he eventually said 'good bye' and quit as the second wave started.

We then proceeded to have a good game after that.

Has anyone else had a similiar experience? Because I don't feel any remorse over what I said/not going to revive the guy.

Oh ya, if anyone is stupid enough to run into a pack of enemies or wastes a cobra of miniscule forces (as in geth troopers when there are NO other units around), I'm not going to risk my neck to help them. If they can't play smart they aren't benefitting the team, and it wouldn't make any difference whether I revived them or not.

I try not to pass judgements like that because I'm normally a very tolerant person (comes with having two siblings), but there are just those people that break my line of patience.

Had an asari melee vanguard in a silver game once (technically, he stayed for three sessions before we all kicked him and left). He went down without fail 10-20 seconds into any given round. After about 5 waves of pain we just left him lying there...

Made it a lot easier for the rest of us.

I would be in favor of BioWare just giving people huge credits instead of forcing them and everyone else to play geth gold FBW maps. The guy was ill equipped for sure but at least he was trying to play the game the way his character would play instead of hiding behind a counter for 20 minutes to just earn big credits. They actually need a matchmaking service for only FBWGG matches because last night when trying to get on a gold game and actually learn how to play on gold I got the following.

FBWGG, FBWGG, FBWGG, usually with 3 infiltrators. I'd say you and the others should have went to a private server instead.

I'll give people the benefit of the doubt and revive them a couple (usually more) times. After a while though I'll stop reviving them if the situation is too dangerous (usually I'd chance it) since it's beginning to wear.

Yup. I will never revive an idiot that is sitting outside and dividing our firepower, thus making the game take longer. I'll never revive an idiot that runs out on the first wave to go “speed things up” and dies every time, thus slowing things down.

Now, an Infi that's just doing his job, I'll help them. Otherwise, sit your a** in the building and help me kill stuff so that we can get this done in 25 minutes or so.

Has anyone ever gotten frustrated by the players that seem to like to spam stasis to the point where they don't want to revive those players if they die?

Because it's really damn annoying when I'm about to kill something and all the sudden 'BOOM, STASIS' and the target becomes immune to 50% damage or something like... Especially when it's a phantom that I was about to devour with my GPS.

Sometimes i dont revive, if that person keeps doing the same thing over and over and over and over again and getting downed.
If you keep slapping up against that ravager and getting splatted im not wasting my time.

Of course. The first thought that comes to mind when I see a silly death is to chastise the person, but I'm the first to rush headlong into the fray to revive no matter how dire it gets. At that point, you've long since missed your chance to kick them, so I say suck it up and take one for the team.

I freely admit to being bad on Gold. I take my Salarian Engineer, go FBWGG, and hunker in the bunker. I've experimented with going out to do objectives, but when I do my teammates tend to start dying because I take my Decoy with me when I do, and I usually end up dying anyway because of the fact that half the Geth seem able to ignore my Decoy at will even when it's straight between me and them.

But I have seen people doing things so stupid even I, in my uselessness, said '...That was stupid.'

And yeah it's usually Vanguards who don't realize that Charging a Prime/Hunter/Pyro trio is suicide on Gold. But occasionally it's the Infiltrators - I saw one set up outside the basement, beside that crate outside the side door? When he died there and nobody braved the two Primes, Pyro and two Rocket Troopers out there to revive him, he moved.
To the cover in the back corner.
Where the Rocket Troopers revealed that yes, they don't really care about whether you have TC on or not. But the other Infiltrator kept going out to revive him, and nearly got us swarmed by a couple of Primes on wave 9. Would NOT come into the basement. And I mean, you know, I can understand wanting to try it different ways, RAGE AGAINST THE ESTABLISHMENT and all that, but most people reach a point where they realize 'this isn't working!'

Oddly enough the soldiers I see joining FBWGG are usually pretty competent. I don't think I've ever seen a soldier getting stupid like that.

I don't think I've ever really run into a person who I've straight up given up on (I might be luckier in publics than most people), but sometimes you got sh*t to do and if I'm in the middle of trying to take down a Banshee or a group of Pyros or something and someone dies on the other side of the map, then I have to triage and tell myself I'll try to get him, but that this has to come first. We don't need protected enemies to completely regenerate all their shields/barriers and ambush us later when someone closer could have taken care of him or he could just use medigel.

Oh, and sometimes it's faster to just finish the wave.

But honestly, reviving is like my first priority when someone goes down, unless they're in a location in which the revive would be suicide and I have to clear it out first, or if I'm in the middle of a disable device or delivering a pizza or something.

I love it when one Novaguard makes the rest of us look bad and you people descend upon it like vultures and write us all off as idiots.
I don't know about you, but when a teammate dies and I will likely not die myself by going to revive him, I will revive him. End of story.

Firebase Glacier. Batarian teammate. Thought he was badass. He was. Mostly. Tearing **** up. But he never once revived anyone. I was playing a Krogan Soldier, and was unfortunate enough to be caught off guard by a husk. It grabbed me and I got downed by a ravager. He walked right past my corpse, even though he could have revived at no risk to himself. This happened several times throughout the match, where everyone else went out of their way to revive him.

So finally on wave 8, I let him bleed out, and started killing things while standing on his corpse. :3

Yeah, I give you the benefit of the doubt until the match, then when I see those kind of actions, I leave you to your fate. Most leave or learn quick that the places they were going were no mans land for a reason.

Huh? I don't know what you mean, enemies in stasis don't receive any damage reduction as far as I'm aware. I know there's a glitch with stasis where the enemy sometimes takes no damage until falling out of it, but even then it's plenty enough time to kill them before they get back on their feet and start shooting.

When I first started playing I ran into the front with a Vanguard on silver. Died. Felt bad that I had hosed my team and learned my lesson and how to play the class so I didn't hose everyone else.

I don't tend to play them much because of my experiences with others playing them and the frustration of trying to keep them alive so they can continue their mad rampage. I tend to jump out of lobbies with Vanguards just because I've seen teams wiped time and time again trying to revive them over, and over, and over.

I was in a game a few days ago and got killed by an invisible grenade. Literally no-one bothered to revive me, one guy even walked over me and carried on going. A few waves later, the other 3 took it in turns dying, and as soon as they did, the other two dropped everything and ran to revive them.

That was the moment I decided I wasn't going to revive them. One player even left because I watched them bleed out ^.^

A human female vanguard went down in about 30s into round 2 or 3 in the middle open area of ghost. I ran in, picked her up, ran out.

Down again, almost the same spot some 20s later, now with more cerberus around her. So I run in, get her up and get out, but lost all my health this time.

30s later, down again. SAME DAMN SPOT! Nobody went for her. From there out, she went down several times per round with people only picking her up when there wasn't any risk.

I kinda get the vanguard hate now.
