I tend to play soldiers and engineers, though. I'd probably revive more if I played more Infiltrator.

I don't care if you think you have some great strategy. You need to play with the team.
I will refuse to revive anyone if I bleed out sitting right next to the entire team. That has happened a few times.

I always wonder why someone with such a low level character joins a silver lobby in the first place?
I once tried to kick a level 1 character from a silver lobby but nobody joined in. So I figured everyone accepted it, despite they should've known better. I got into the equipment screen, cancelled all consumables, then started the match. We lost, with the level 1 dying over and over again. I actually played pretty decent since I had nothing to loose but the match, I even revived him several times (being an infiltrator).
I know I know...level does not represent skill. But level + n7 rating at least give a hint. And usually the hint turned out to be exactly what I thought it would.

I refused to revive a guy last night. We played Hydra and he wanted to camp the back control room. The thing is, the other three of us were at the LZ. I had to control the spawn to the left of the LZ the entire match because of that d-bag. He went down, by himself, every round after wave 3. He still never joined the team. We had one guy continually running to revive him though, and that stopped around wave 7, as the guy was continually swarmed by Primes and Pyros.

what if the difference between 1st place and 4th place is just 1000 xp points?
ive seen lots of matches where all the teammates perform extremely well, and in the end the difference between last and first is just like 1000 xp...

On the other side of this, how frustrating is it when you get to the man down and all pressing a seems to do is dive you in and out of cover? I must look like I'm literally dancing on a dying team-mate's head sometimes.

*Sees fallen comrade beside cover, with a "retrieve the object" thing directly on top of him, surrounded by primes*
"I should probably leave this to the infiltrator but, I'm a vorcha. I don't get paid to hesitate."
"Flame on!"

A bit rude, OP. everyone has to learn somewhere. A couple of revives are helpful. You should be getting that frustrated if, like a vanguard in yesterday's game, you lose track of his deaths after reaching twelve.
He was frustrated because of the financial crisis.

Salarian Engineers who refuse to throw their decoy at choke points on any map annoy me. Engineers who refuse to ED that pesky turret and make me waste a Krysae shot and a cloak CD. Manguards who forgot to eat their Wheatie's. Krogans that are on the juice again. The list goes on...
It's not about what class anyone plays, but rather about how bad that player is. I've revived someone mutiple times before only to go down on a wave 10 hack and not get a rez. When I'm behind cover in the hack. At that point I refuse to gel and proceed to spend the rest of the match throwing arc grenades at my teammates.
If they're good enough to do the objective rounds without me then why shouldn't I enjoy myself =)

On firebase white i play by the bottom of the stairs b/c i can easily solo entire squads that spawn there, and sometimes someone will run up the stairs and play in that little room where the hack is.
I tell them on the mic, "please don't play up there, i got it from here, if you DON'T get out of there the MOBS WILL START SPAWNING BEHIND US" when they eventually die, we don't rez.. some learn their lesson and some surprisingly DON'T..
After playing this damn game extensively, i know where the points you can stand to force certain spawns, and halfway thru that room is one of them.. people don't realize and see me playing near the stairs and think it's all cool to run up the stairs like a boss.. it gets teammates killed STOP DOING IT

The reality is death is the best teacher, not being revived. Unless you strike a good balance between the two, you'll fail many gold matches trying to revive people who just will not stop going rambo on the other side of the map. After a flurry of revives one after the other on a single early wave, you can probably tell which teaching style suits them.

I don't see many batarians at all. It's tragic, really.
Reading the thread's title again in a batarian voice, it sounds about right. They usually are very gentle and loving creatures, though. To a vorcha, at any rate. Can't wrap my head around this obsession with squishy asari. Nowhere to get a good grip.

Well turns out just about every wave after 5 he would die at some point. Few of those times I ran over to his body and pretended I would revive him repeatedly until he bled out. One time I lured a banshee over to his corpse and revived him only to watch him get grab killed. Oh it was my most satisfying moment in multiplayer thus far.

I refused to revive early on up until wave 3 when my friend kept risking and went down with them. Friend ended up with about 25 revives with only 2 on me and I had 15 with like 3 or 4 on my friend. After that I decided I will just leave randoms down that do that poorly, they are obviously in over their head and are either better off watching and learning or will cause a wipe (lucky we didn't) and they deserve to sit their and be bored if they come in unprepared (no medi-gel or missiles).

Firebase Glacier. Batarian teammate. Thought he was badass. He was. Mostly. Tearing **** up. But he never once revived anyone. I was playing a Krogan Soldier, and was unfortunate enough to be caught off guard by a husk. It grabbed me and I got downed by a ravager. He walked right past my corpse, even though he could have revived at no risk to himself. This happened several times throughout the match, where everyone else went out of their way to revive him.
So finally on wave 8, I let him bleed out, and started killing things while standing on his corpse. :3
Had something very similar to this happen just the other day. After completing the objective on 10 the guy goes down (after going down many times prior, and me and other teammates reviving him) I killed the cannibals around him and (not my proudest moment) just started shooting at his body and taking cover on the ledge next to him so as to simulate teabagging...I would just like to reiterate...not my proudest moment.
Typically though, I'll do what I can to revive teammates, since more guns killing things = more dead things faster = good.

While I don't generally agree with stereotyping, I am still pleased that for once I don't play the class in a game that turns out to be the one everybody hates.
Eh, there's no particularly hated class besides the flavor of the month thing to call OP (probably because it's co-op, so the balancing, or lack thereof, is not as prone to cause nerd rage). Vanguards just get really defensive on the forums though, as if they don't understand that everyone gets flak for a class/build at some point.

There was one moment last night I got pretty pissed off at someone. He was playing a phoenix vanguard and was following me everywhere while I was on my vorcha. Everytime id get up close to melee something he would lash it far away from me so he could get all the kills. If a tougher enemy was close he would let me whittle it down then lash it at the last second to receive kill credit. That was excessively annoying and counter productive of being a team effort.
Well turns out just about every wave after 5 he would die at some point. Few of those times I ran over to his body and pretended I would revive him repeatedly until he bled out. omg dude i was on my geth, and some other geth was following me around like an excited puppy xD.. it was so annoying b/c i'd be cloaked, and he'd stand behind me and get me shot at/occasionally killed

There are only a few times that come to mind when I have flat out refused to revive someone.
1. Bugged Vanguard. He kept getting stuck up in the air and dying from nothing and would not leave the game. If you're bugged so badly that you're in dead last by a huge margin and dying in between rounds for no reason, then just go.
2. D-bags who won't click on an objective or revive someone even if they're standing next to them. Had one guy run right past the objective repeatedly and I just refused to do objectives after that. Are points really that important to you that you'll risk the team failing a mission for them? Seriously?
