I plan to get a wiiU and even moreso now me3 is headed for it. As some have said in the past though, a redesigned collectors version would be greatly appreciated for those people like me who buy the game for pc, 360 and ps3. Perhaps with some different unique DLC, some bonus making of vids, a figure, paragon or renegade patch, that type of thing...and a new t-shirt design?

You're talking about the company that gave up working on a "corrected" face import patch after the one they released caused even more problems for users. The company that can't give a straight answer regarding game mechanics that should have been answered months ago. The company that gets terrified and runs away with its tail between its legs/locks the topic after people call them out on their ignorance.

What makes you think they're going to produce new CE content for what amounts to a cash-in version of the game? This is Bioware/EA we're talking about, here. They'll cut as many corners as they need to maximize profits - the only people they're beholden to are shareholders, not the hardcore fanbase. They stopped listening to people like us months ago.

Personally I hate all "Wii" consoles. I don't hate Nintendo though, I love some of their classic consoles like the N64.

I definitely won't be getting it. I think it will be a fail.

Did not enjoy Wii much, sold it after a couple of years, Wii U does not look all that appealing either but I hope Mass Effect 3 sells well on the platform, since I love the series whatever system it is on

And some people accuse the "fans" of beating dead animals.

Nice for those 2 guys or gals who don´t own a second console beside the Wii and still did not play the game if they intended to.

The Wii really isn't very well-received around here. I like it just fine. It's a good secondary console, essentially filling in all the great Nintendo first-party gaps I would have otherwise had on my playlist.

Releasing ME3 and only ME3 for the Wii U does seem like a silly move to me, sure. I probably won't pick it up without some major incentive after already owning it for PC and 360. But yeah, whatev. Some folks will enjoy it. Get over it. :)

All 3 mass effect games in 1 package with all DLC content would be the best thing bioware could do and what they should have done for the ps3 also. From a collectors and fan view that would be a must have and that alone would get more sales for them and the Wi U console. Think of it like almost like what they do with game of the year edition games. Difference is though you would have all 3 in 1 with all DLC content now that would be awesome. I'm sure it can be done one big package with multiple discs and some collectors items included maybe even a nice case. I already own all 3 games but I would still buy it and the Wi U if they released it this way and so would plenty of fans and collectors alike. Wi U will be a great console it's gonna be what the Wi should've been years ago I hope that it better later then never like the say because I heard Sony and Microsoft will release their next gen consoles soon maybe sooner then we know if Wi U is a big success. I hope that ain't true and Sony and Microsoft wait because I still love my ps3 and Xbox 360 and since Wi U is suppose to match those consoles in graphics, power, and specs why rush I think there's plenty of life left in the current consoles and Wi U is only nintendos answer to compete with the current top consoles.

Or perhaps the Wii U just happens to release the same year as Me3 so Bioware/EA thought why not & make some money.
ME2 released on the PS3 quite late too .  .   .

If it turns out to be reasonably succesfull, ME2 could get ported though I highly doubt it since the biggest games are those infinte nintendo titles & the endless shovelware titles.
Wii U will be mostly consist of casual players, people just falling for the novelty so the hardcore gamers will form a tiny pecentage.
Also I expect the multiplayer to be a ghostown.

I do wonder though what data will be displayed on the display screen game pad?

Well...it's not as if the third game acknowledges any of your past decisions anyway. I don't see why starting at part 3 is an issue.

It won't happen, for several reasons:

1) Microsoft co-owns the publishing rights to the first game. Unless something is worked out between Microsoft and EA, ME1 will never be re-released.

2) EA has never released a GOTY edition of any recent Bioware game. Hell, there were plans to make a Dragon Age II GOTY edition that were scrapped because of lack of consumer interest. The closest thing ME1 got to a GOTY release was the Steam version, which is still missing Pinnacle Station. The PS3 version of the second game (which was a glorified port and promo for 3 more than anything) was missing the last four DLC's and bonus content.

3) As I mentioned before, EA won't release any additional CE's for a game that has no value to them. We know that ME3 sold a million units less than ME2 - the Wii version is a glorified cash-grab for the system. Sure, it will likely sell well because it's a launch title, but they're not going to pool additional resources for a port of the game.

I'll say the same thing I've mentioned before. Porting the game to a different system without giving you the chance to make decisions a la Genesis is a terrible idea. Several characters are dead by default (meaning you can't access their additional content/have them as war assets), and it's actually impossible to broker peace between the Geth and Quarians due to Legion being dead by default.

Besides, starting at the third part of a trilogy is a terrible decision, because the narrative assumes you already have familiarity with the previous games. The way the story is presented, a new player will be incredibly confused about who is who and what's going on.

I thought the PS3 ME2 had everything except LotSB?

But other than that, you're right, DA:O Ultimate is the only complete edition they've released recently.

It has the main story DLC's up to LotSB and the Blood Dragon Armor. Everything else (Arrival, extra weapons/armor, appearance packs) cost extra and weren't included.

the Wii itself I thought would fail but did really well (mostly as a party console playing wuth multiple people) have to say I really only like super smash bros brawl, and fire emblem and maybe the new zelda game. but it does not have nearly as good single player games(but that is not what makes the wii) not sure how the wii you will do since one controller has a screen on it( I bet that costs over $100 to get or get a second one) but as for Mass Effect 3 coming out on it. they might do an interacticve comic for it or have a special dlc for it. the ps3 had a special dlc that had all the promo items for Me2(to make up for not haveing ME1) so I think they might do something similar but we will see. as for me I cant say that the new wii u seems very appeling to me and I think it will be a faill.

Is there any word on special exclusive DLC armour for the Wii U version, I would love to see Shepard wearing an N7 version of Samus Arans armour from the Metroid games.

From the looks of it, the Wii-U controls look kinda sluggish.

I have to say i am very afraid that future WiiU support from both EA and Bioware is reliant on the sales of Mass Effect 3 cause i doubt this will sell all that much.

Good video showing the WiiU version:
http://gotgame.com/2...ii-u-interview/

This actually looks good to control, TV out is a good feature, area map on the gamepad, shortcuts etc. I will probably buy it.

Control are good with Wii U gamepad, I found the ideas really cool, map on screen, choose power, control team. I would really have buy ME3 if ME1 & ME2 were also coming on Wii U. Would love to do again the trilogy with the new control ^^
But Well I won't buy ME3 on Wii U without Me 1 & 2, I doubt the comics will cover all choices.

That new heavy weapon looks so awesome!! Wouldn' use much, except on Earth, cause that would save me a lot of trouble :D

Too bad ME1 and 2 aren't there, ME2 could have being ported to it, but oh well.

Nowadays publishers and developers are both to blame for ruining the golden age of the gaming industry.
Releasing half broken games to meet unmanageable deadlines just to satisfy their bank balance and profit margins regardless of whether the customers are happy or not

The ME Trilogy should be on all platforms and NOT just the Xbox360/PC.
ME2 wasn't an Xbox360/PC only title so why won't that be released on the Wii U?

5 months since release ME3 multiplayer is still very broken on the PS3 but they don't care.

Those people who made these decisons have the common sense and the logic of a napkin and shouldn't be working in the game industry.

Period!

Could it be that Shepard has more beard on the Wii U?
