From what I could gather, it may not be possible to save all of your ME2 squadmates in ME: Genesis 2... I may be wrong, I'm still waiting for word...
You can save your squadmates or save the crew, but not both. I just finished the comic.
Something just seems wrong about that. In the actual game we're able to save everyone, but if someone starts a game from ME3 on the Wii U, they're getting cheated.
Agreed. It's pure nonsense that they're forcing the Wii-U users to choose between the crew and the squad, given the fact that such a choice is never forced upon us in Mass Effect 2. Sure, if we d!ck around and don't complete some/all of the loyalty missions, we'll be forced to make such a choice, but that's only
if we d!ck around. Plus, even the Collectors have already taken the crew, upgrading the ship doesn't eat up any time, nor does gathering resources for said upgrades. Going from system to system doesn't take time, either.
Those poor Wii-U users.
At least in Genesis 1, the choices weren't horribly contrived and nonsensical. Sure, the Geth took a back seat and Feros is inconsequential, but the choices that
were present still make sense. There's no contrived "Sophie's Choice" that wasn't there in the actual game. I wish I could say the same for Genesis 2.
Really, only Genesis 1 seemed necessary, because Microsoft still had the license. There's no legal conflict in them porting Mass Effect 2 to the Wii-U. As complex as the decisions are in ME2, there's really no way to turn it into an interactive comic that does the game justice. Maybe that's exactly what EA/BioWare has in mind.
