This is genuinely surprising, and somewhat intriguing. I doubt I'll end up owning a Wii U, let alone buying ME3 again, but I look forward to seeing where this goes. Helluva launch title, eh?  

Assuming no features are left out, I'm sure Nintendo fans will like it (except those pain-in-the-neck concerned parents who don't bother to check the ESRB rating on games before buying them for their kids, and then complain that games should be censored).

Eh not really. If I wasn't a member of the PC gaming master race, I'd probably be anticipating the Wii U. Nintendo finally realized that their 7th generation lost them everyone besides casuals and SSB fans, and upped the hardware capacity quite a bit...If only they'd done this for the 7th generation and left out the gimmicy touch screen and motion sensor stuff...They'd have won the 7th generation without a doubt.


@RAF: As I understand, the Wii U has something like Playstation Network going for it. I imagine it'll be the Wii U fans raging that they can't find anyone to play with for the first few weeks or so rather than the other way around.

Oh right, it's the super bowl and the story of the first two games does not matter! The fact that you don't need the stories of ME1 and ME2 only proves that ME3 was written as a cash-in. I'm disappointed in you, BioWare.

Maybe gamers who will buy a Wii U have played the first 2 games on a different platform? Don't jump to conclusions.

This would have been such a good opportunity to release a trilogy pack that contains all DLC. The last in the trilogy? Who would want only that? I have a feeling this will be a cheap port to make some quick bucks.

Loving it... X-Box gets a never before seen Halo: Combat Evolved. 360 gets a never before seen Halo 2. PS3 gets the never before seen Little Big Planet. Wii gets the (nintendo's own) Wii Sports. Wii U gets the, aleady been out for 3 months on the decent platforms Mass Effect 3... Am I the only one missing something here?

Wouldn't stop them from releasing the trology on X-Box (I'd buy it) . Mind you given how expensive stuff like Daggerfall and Arena are right no due to their age it wouldn't surprise if they waited for 10 years and released it then..

Did we ever get confirmation that Microsoft got exclusive console rights for ME1? I think maybe PS3 only got ME2 (and later 3) for the same reason that Wii U only gets ME3.

EA was a supporter of Wii U since the beginning and even displayed the Mass Effect 2 cover art at the original Wii U conference last year. There were some BioWare devs who were critical on Twitter (I think Manveer maybe) but those were individual opinions, not those of the company.

I have trouble posting pics so imagine summ one in a tube where money is flying while said person tries to grab the money.


If you are doing this bioware than first put me1 out for ps3 so they can get the full level of enjoyment possible.

For some reason it feels like this decision will cause stock value to drop and this does not sound like something you guys would do frankly there is no logic to start at the end.

Just can't see how having the final game for the wii u alone makes any sense when this is a 3 part game triliogy I just don't understand why you would at least not give them mass effect 2 and then slap on the genesis comic before giving them me3

And of course anything we say about me3 other than good things we get automaticlly banned honestly really

Just when I thought I'd seen everything, this is nothing more or less than a sell out. BioWare, you all completely and 100% disappoint me. This is nothing more than a money grab at this point. The Mass Effect franchise has gone from being story driven, to being a cash cow. Don't like it, well that's the truth. This is not about bringing the "experience" other players, it is about money, nothing more or less.

What about the story? What about the core players? You already sold out to Sony, now you have to sell out to Nintendo too? That means more free DLC for them. It is truly yet another sad day for Mass Effect, with this being number two on the list. The first being you all selling out to Sony. Mass Effect should have stayed with Microsoft Game Studios and should have stayed an Xbox Exclusive franchise because Xbox is better anyway.

I'm an Xbox guy but really dude your making us look bad. Also yeah maybe me should have stayed an Xbox exclusive but bioware saw potential and money going to ps3 and now wii u. Why is this bad?this is their living. The point f a livin is to make money to support yourself and a possible family and if you found a way to make more for the company and possibly yourself why would you not. So quit whining about it.
